My sister and I decided to try this restaurant. It is part of the Double Tree Hotel in Downers Grove. It was very good. We're italian so we're somewhat picky about italian restaurant food but I would recommend this restaurant and we are planning to go back again.

Stayed at the doubletree hotel and was very pleasantly surprised how great the food was at Osteria Italian restaurant. We dined here two nights in a row because it was so delicious. Julio our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Made our first evening at the restaurant memorable. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and Caesar salad. It was wonderful. I had plenty of leftovers and canât wait to enjoy the other half when I get home. My husband ordered rigatoni with chicken and the soup of the day. He had plenty left over for another meal also. Had two Tiramisu martinis and unfortunately ran out of room for dessert.
The second night we sat in the bar for happy hour. Joey, the manager remembered us and made us feel like we were friends dining at his home. Handsome gentleman and incredibly friendly.
Tony the bartender managed a full bar of people yet was very available to take our order. Happy hour is a great deal with $7 martinis and affordable large appetizers. Luckily we saved room to share a piece of Tiramisu. Absolutely divine. Canât wait for our next visit to Chicago to dine here again. Highly recommended.

I stopped in after work while in town. Food was absolutely amazing, drinks a must have! Old Fashionedâs (Iâm an KY girl) and Wine amazing. All staff very accommodating and friendly. Felt like I was at home. I love Italian food and have been all around the US. This one is a must! Definitely more than you will ever eat!!

I frequent the Hilton Doubletree often. But this restaurant, the Osteria BY Capri in Hilton Downers Grove was absolutely one of the best ... The food was amazing! (The special chicken was perfectly seasoned, the lasagna - every dish.) It was 6 of us, and the portion sizes were so large, we each sampled all meals. Every dish was delightfully delicious, and we all had leftovers to take to our rooms. We were greeted with personable warmth at the entrance, and received expert menu recommendations. Our server, Dale, was also phenomenal! It truly was a great dining experience, and we all enjoyed it immensely.
We always love coming for the great food & Joey Capri. Joey, always makes our table feel more than welcome as we are family. Tonight server Dale on day off came in and made our experience another memorable one. When we asked why he was here, he answered thatâs what family does for.each other. This is why we feel like family when we come to dine here. It doesnât matter whoâs taking care of the table.
