From the very beginning, Linda and her team were very responsive to our questions and worked hard to ensure that the menu and service reflected our wants and wishes for our wedding. During our first meeting, Linda made several suggestions that suited the theme of our fall evening reception. On the day of the wedding, she personally arranged the fresh flowers we provided around the cake, again in a way that completely reflected the style of our decorations. She and her staff were very helpful in managing the flow of evening and were flexible in the timing of the service. All of that is terrific but wouldn't have mattered if the food had been a disappointment. In fact, the appetizers, dinner, and cake were outstanding. We received many compliments on the food alone. We are grateful for the personal touch and attention to detail that helped make our wedding a fantastic occasion.

I got married on 11/24/18 at the Mayslake Peabody Estate. I highly recommend the venue if you're looking for a unique place to get married! Positives We had good communication from Linda, in fact the only poor communication that happened was my own goof on the number of vegetarian dishes needed, but Linda was able to work that out for us last minute. The food was great, we had a nice spread during the cocktail hour, did a refreshing salad with apples and walnuts, and a well cooked, large portion, stuffed chicken breast with delicious sides, and a rich cannoli filled wedding cake. I did NOT go hungry on my wedding day. they were timely, professional, I had 0 staff issues; so as a groom I couldn't have been happier with how the night went . Negatives - only 2 We were never given the option for a tasting and I remember asking for one the first day we met them and I was told we'd get one. It's a small thing I know, but it would have been nice especially for how much it cost. Lastly, I would have given a full 5 stars but we had a last minute cost change, we were originally quoted somewhere between 9-10K for the event, 120 people max and we were bringing all the wine for the night for table service since my family happens to have a very large collection. but one week before the cost jumped to over 13K with little explanation to why is was such a large increase, I'm blessed to have means, but a jump in cost that much is a little much. Other then that it was a great night and I would recommend their service as you will have great food and little stress the day of.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Linda and the La Cuisine team for my wedding at Danada House and would highly recommend their catering services. La Cuisine provided excellent service, various menu options, delicious food and an elegant dining experience. Linda and her assistant who are at the forefront of the business are not only knowledgeable, but also experts in the industry. In addition they are professional, flexible, caring and extremely hardworking. Linda helped plan our event from day one and was attentive to each and every detail along the way. She understood our vision and helped that dream become a reality. Our event budget was not only understood, but it was also maintained. La Cuisine handled all the arrangements for tables, linens, service items along with setup and tear-down, so that we were able to truly enjoy our event. On the day of our event her team flawlessly executed the plan and offered exceptional service along with a unique dining experience for our 170+ guest. Linda and her team were onsite until the very end and we are so very thankful. La Cuisine truly excels in the business and exceeded all expectations. April & Jeremy

We were in contact with Alcina in the beginning but it just stopped. Emailed her a follow up email and nothing. Disappointed.

Booked them over a year in advance for my wedding. When I cancelled (still over a year out) they would not refund a penny. If you know you will fill the spot why not refund at least partially. Just money hungry.

La Cuisine was absolutely wonderful for our wedding! Linda was extremely professional and such a pleasure to work with!!! She was so accommodating to some last minute changes and health restrictions that came up. The food was excellent and got so many compliments from our guests about how they loved the food! I would definitely recommend them for any event or wedding and will use them for any future catering.

I used LaCuisine for my wedding recently. The only nice things I have to say are that the food was good, and the set up of tables was nice. Otherwise, dealing with the owner is not a fun process and dinner was awful. When you need to get a hold of her she either "didn't get your email" or "did reply, must not have went through". But when she needs something from you ($$) she is alllll over it, blowing up your phone, very accommodating all of a sudden. We also scheduled a final walk through at our venue, and the whole time she was rushed and not completely present because SHE overbooked herself and had an appointment somewhere immediately after ours. Not my issue lady. She also told me prior to the wedding that she needed the names of people who ordered vegetarian options, because often at weddings people decide to change their mind on the spot and ask for vegetarian so she wanted to make sure those who requested it get their vegetarian meals. I thought that was very thoughtful, so I happily gave her my guests names. She also said that will avoid her having to come up to me, during my wedding, and bring the issue to my attention. Well....guess what happened? The last issue I want to highlight has to do with another situation she handled at the wedding. We served a beer and wine only bar. One of my guests asked her if he could buy a bottle of titos and have her bartender serve it. Instead of just saying NO, they are offering a beer and wine bar only, sorry, she came up to me, made an issue out of it, and was frazzled the rest of the night. She had no idea when we wanted to cut our cake, do toasts, speeches, etc. even though we went through all of that in detail at the final walk through....

La Cuisine catered my spring 2017 wedding reception at the Wilder Mansion in Elmhurst and both my wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with the service provided. Quotes/Ordering: During our inquiry process with each caterer approved by the Wilder, Linda was relentless in her follow-up and ensuring she was setting up the quote to meet our needs. The quoted prices were solid but her regular follow-ups and interest in getting our business were what ultimately made us decide to go with her over another caterer. Planning: We met with Linda twice in her office to go over the menu, set-up and other arrangements. She accommodated our schedule, was very patient during deliberations and offered realistic advice about what would work best given our desires and the constraints of the venue. We had underestimated how important venue knowledge was and were glad she could accurately describe expectations for us. Food: All our guests had rave reviews of the food. We served a brunch buffet with all the standard fixings plus petit fours for dessert that were amazing. La Cuisine made sure each buffet item was labeled for those with food allergies and that each station remained stocked. Service: All members of the crew were very polite and provided great service. Again, all of our guests were very happy and we heard no comments in the negative. Planning a wedding is a long and stressful process and catering is the biggest expense so we were very happy that everything turned out great with our selection.

La Cuisine catered my wedding and did an awful job. The owner of the company Linda was extremely rude to the other vendors. Her staff was not much better, especially the bar tender who was rude to my guests from the beginning of the night! They ran out of beer and the portions of food were small. I called her to discuss the issues from my wedding and she still has not called me back three weeks later. I would not hire La Cusine for any catering event.

Linda was very responsive to my messages and worked with me to get my proposal in a comfortable price range for my fiance and I for our wedding. She was very professional and organized, and really wanted to make us happy!

ZERO STARS! Today I bit into a chicken spinach wrap that was catered in and found a rusty, sharp screw in my mouth after noticing something hard when I was chewing. Do not order from them!

My husband and I used La Cuisine catering for our July 3rd wedding at Danada House.. I have mixed feelings on if I would recommend them, so I will let me review of the positives and negatives help you decide for yourselves! Negative: I contracted and ironed out all details with Jessica, about three months before I was told she was taking some personal time.. The owner, Linda, then took over.. Linda then started informing me of things that were different from what Jessica and I discussed (we agreed to 5 beers with Jessica, she said great no problem.. When Linda came involved I was just then informed that if we did 5 there was a good chance of running out of one... Which we did and it was the brides preferred drink).. We agreed to wine throughout dinner with Jessica, again issues came up with Linda and we agreed to doing just a toast and then opening the bar a half hour early since Danada doesn't allow serving after 11:30pm anyways. The day of the wedding one bartender was INCREDIBLY unprofessional, swearing in front of guests at the other one, being rude to my guests, telling me my bar wasn't open even though it was at a contracted time to be open.. I had several guest complaints about one older white gentleman in particular.. Also Linda told me that she would be there day of, however I never saw her.. She had the day of captain tell me she was there but left, do I think she was there? No.. Do I care if she was or wasn't? No.. I even emailed Linda letting her know how the day went, and didn't get a response.. We also ran out of vodka by 8:30pm.. That was after I informed them upon making the contract that I needed a bar with Kettle One because we have a lot of Vodka drinkers.. Payment wise! We were just told that the remaining balance was due 10 days prior.. It was never clear to us that we had to make the exact percentages at the set time period.. We figured as long as that percentage was paid BY the deadline we would be fine, well we used all cash to pay off our credit cards to earn point/miles and cash back only to be told you could only use a credit card twice. MIND YOU I have an email from Jessica saying that there was no processing fee, when they tried to get me to pay one.. It was after I complained and brought the email up that they agreed to let me do three credit card transactions, but we still ended up short and asking family more cash since we used our wedding funds to pay off the credit cards.. Positive: I think we got an overall good deal to work with our budget.. We were able to serve a 4 apps, salad, chicken plate, cake, and sweets table.. They also upgraded some of the liquor and discounted the dish ware to work with us. Day of captain was phenomenal! This woman, I wish I knew her name, seriously made sure that every little detail went off without a hitch.. I could not say enough good things about her! I give her complete success for why my wedding day went off without a hiccup. The food was amazing, not one person had a single bad thing to say about it.. Their tasting had us leaving full! They allow you to adjust apps and dishes if you would like little changes to them to make them more you! I know it seems like a lot of negative, but those were things that did at some point keep me up at night, but again our day of (minus the rude bartender) went perfectly.. So I'll let you decide!
