Best sushi around. It's pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Atmosphere is great. Service is prompt. Everything is fresh! Other food selections are good too. Love the Mongolian beef. The chicken and vegetable noodles are amazing too. No complaints! Top shelf establishment right here! Highly recommend!!!

Don’t order the Crab Rangoon. You’ll get 4 pieces of single bits that are slightly cold. Sushi rolls tasted like rubber and the $5 can of sprite topped it all off. Side note, the servers are nice and attentive and its clean … only saving grace.

Very good sushi. I frequently get take outs from this place. Mayatofu dragon rolls are awesome

Too inconsistent, poor quality, cheap sushi, while being overpriced. Used to be good

It’s just really bad quality sushi and the servers are gross too.

Fantastic place with an upscale vibe & fair prices. I got the pork chasu ramen & it was very good, with a perfectly cooked egg and noodles. The restaurant looks small from the outside but has a cozy, almost romantic feel inside. With the low lighting and piano music playing, the Sushi House has a laid back, vintage, Sinatra sort of vibe. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at this establishment 10/3/24 and had a generally positive experience. The food was excellent, and we were seated very quickly, which set a great tone for the evening. Our server, Tanya, was a true standout—she was not only nice and attentive, but her kindness and hard work truly enhanced our dining experience. We felt well taken care of throughout the night, thanks to her efforts.

However, I do feel it’s important to mention an aspect of our visit that was quite disappointing. During our meal, we encountered another server, a gentleman, who displayed a very nasty and hostile attitude. To make matters worse, we couldn’t help but overhear him yelling at Tanya from across the room in an unprofessional manner. It was disheartening to witness this kind of behavior, and if we could hear it, I can only imagine how many other diners were affected.

Such disrespectful conduct should not be overlooked, as it casts a shadow over the otherwise lovely atmosphere of the restaurant. We sincerely appreciate Tanya's hospitality and her efforts in making our night enjoyable. It’s a shame that the actions of one individual could mar the experience, but we are grateful for the dedication shown by Tanya. Overall, we had a great night, thanks to her.

The menu offers a wide variety of sushi, and sashimi all of which are fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying the Godzilla Roll and the 2 in 1 Roll—both were bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. The quality of the fish was exceptional, and you could tell everything was prepared with great care.

Service was equally outstanding. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations without being overbearing. We never felt rushed, and the timing of the dishes coming out was spot-on, allowing us to fully enjoy each course.

For non-sushi lovers, there are also great options like the teriyaki and tempura, which were just as delicious. The drink menu had a nice selection of sake that paired perfectly with the meal.

Overall, Sushi House exceeded my expectations in every way, from the food to the service and the atmosphere. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in Downers Grove.

Great food. Great customer service. My family of 4 had a great experience. They had chopstick holders for my children to make it easier to use! Fresh food. Crab rangoon, noodles, and sushi were all great. Definitely coming back again!
