This exactly what you want in a local Chinese takeout. Family owned and friendly, really good sesame chicken and Mongolia beef and nice service! I will be going back for sure

Longest wait times in history. Sat in there for 30 minutes waiting. Crazy how terrible the customer service is

Delicious food and very generous portions! I got the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and the portion was enough for me to have three good meals. The woman working at the counter was also very kind. Will absolutely be back! Thank you!
Not good at all. Do not go. Sorry to be mean. Food sucks.

I always get the same things when I come here (beef fried rice and sometimes orange chicken), but whenever I do, the food is always delicious. It's always seasoned so well that you don't need soy sauce for the rice. I've been to plenty of Chinese food places and not a lot of them can accomplish that. 10/10 every visit.

Fantastic food, fast and friendly service. Would give 6 stars if I could.
We have finally found a great Chinese take out restaurant, and it's called ZJ China! About 9 years ago, one of the best Chinese take out places in Downers Grove changed owners, and it was never the same as the old guy that ran it. We tried many Chinese places, but none of them ever quite satisfied us. We tried ZJ China on 4-6-24, and I'm happy to report that we found everything delicious and tasty. ZJ's has barbecued pork fried rice, and many places don't have barbecued pork--the barbecue gives it a little zing which we like. We also ordered General Tso's chicken and schezwan beef, plus pan fried noodles and everything was great. We also had an order of egg rolls, and they came 2 big ones to an order...some of the places we have tried gave us dinky ones. So my Wife and I are happy to have finally found a great Chinese place and to the owners I say, keep up the good work as we will be back. And to all of you looking for Chinese food, I say, give ZJ China a try...I'm sure you will not be disappointed.Ed Kay

First impressions walking in it’s old, they need to update a lot of stuff. Don’t let that scare you off because I smell nothing but cleanliness in the restaurant so I definitely wasn’t scared to eat there. The service quick and easy. I had the jumbo shrimp fried rice which was delicious, no excessive oils, no weird taste. I also tried the pot stickers and those in themselves were all worth it. The biggest pot stickers I’ve have and the sauce was so good. I don’t know if it’s made in house but some of the best sour sauce I’ve had.

My boyfriend and I both grew up in The Downers Grove area and have tried every Chinese place around in westmont, hinsdale, lisle, You name it we’ve tried it! We recently stumbled upon ZJ at the end of a strip mall and we have finally found the BEST Chinese food in the western suburbs. Everytime has been perfect. Highly recommend the Mongolian beef and lunch specials. Super flavorful and authentic!

This is my favorite place to get Chinese food. The potstickers are my go to and most suggested item on the menu. They make them fresh and by hand, you can feel the love in the food.

First time here and we ordered egg rolls, gyoza dumplings, crab rangoon, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice and chicken pad thai and it was all delicious. Their homemade sweet and sour sauce is super yummy also. We will be back!
