Our law firm celebrated our office christmas lunch at the Kickapoo Tea Room in Downs, IL. It was absolutely beautiful inside, and the food was delicious! We were all so happy and thinking about who we are going to bring from our personal lives to this amazing place!

This place is SO cute. Every single thing we tried was good. It was overall very reasonably priced. Would be a great place to bring out of town guests because of the immaculate vibes and the uniqueness. The service was a little slower than I would have liked but I wasn't in a rush and they were very nice. Their website says reservations are recommended though we came on a Saturday at 1 pm and were seated immediately.

This was a cool spot my mother told me about during a recent trip. We went there with a family friend. It was in an old church that was converted to a tea room. Had many options for those that are on special diets and also clearly shows GF options. The dessert was unexpectedly delicious. I had the pavolva with chocolate cream and raspberry sauce. Heaven on a plate. The sandwiches were delicious as well. So if you want to have a spot of high tea without having to go to the big cities, this would be a good option.

This is a perfect location for a tea room! The old church is beautiful inside and out. Perfect ambiance for a tea room. My mom and I went here and it was a lovely outing. We had the quiche, salad, and lemon pound cake— all delicious! We also loved the jasmine green tea. Our server was one of the owners, Lisa, and she is a lovely person. She graciously answered a few questions about their renovation process and you could tell creating the perfect tearoom was a labor of love for these two ladies. Afterwards, we visited the shop downstairs— lots of cute findings and fun to browse. This is a great little out of the way place to visit if you’re looking for a fun afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed our day out. A big shout out to Kickapoo Tea Room and Staff. The old church has beautiful stain glass windows and refurbish finds add an extra special touch to amazing food. I enjoyed the wild berry tea and strawberry cheesecake. While a friend had the best peanut butter pie she had ever had. It was a trip to remember and cherish and we will be back soon.
