Papa G’s is amazing for being in such a small town. They recently added online ordering and we ordered online today before they opened. Ordering online was easy and we received a text when the pizza went in the oven. The pizza was delicious as always too!

Small town pizza place, that serves good pizza with a nice outside patio area to sit and enjoy your pie. You never know what to expect with pizza, no matter the location as there's all kinds of ways to serve it up and differences in crusts, sauce(s) and toppings. However, Papa G's hits the mark for our family. Originally from the Chicago area, our family is fond of Vito Nicks on the south side, Lou Malnati's and a local favorite, Pizza Mia, where we used to live, so when we first moved downstate to Downs we had to give Papa G's a try. Their "thin pizza" has a little bit "thicker" crust, definitely not a cracker crust, but crisp nonetheless for being a thick as it is. Sauce isn't sweet, more traditional red sauce which we like & appreciate. They only offer a 12 inch & 16 inch and pieces are cut generously. Only small negative I have is occasionally, they've been light of some of the toppings. But, the overall taste & flavor, along with their "5 minute warning" phone call they provide for pickups is worthy of a 5 star rating. After a number of orders, we are fans of Papa G's! Good people, good pizza and fairly priced with a nice selection of beer & pop!

Great thin crust pizza. No indoor seating. I would order pizza again for take out.
Their pizza is some of the worst I have ever tasted. There isn’t a crust and there is barely any cheese. The pizza was over $50 and there barely was any pizza. I think you can’t expect any more from a small town pizza place. Overall, if you wanna stop in Downs after getting off I-74, don’t come here the quality of the pizza is horrendously bad. And it is a rip off
