Great place for vegan food in the Normal Bloomington area! They have a beautiful ambiance with plenty of plants. We ordered a Philly sandwich and cauliflower rice bowl with a side of pasta and potato wedges. Each item was well made and delicious!

I have been vegan for 6 years and I've lived in many different places including Southern California where there is a ton of vegan resturants, and I've tried many places. I can say with ease that this is one of the best places I've eaten at. The service at this resturant is easily the best and it is not even close. Each meal comes out with beautiful preparation, and you can tell a lot of care was put into each meal. Everything about the service of Under the Ground is enough to keep you coming back. The food veganizes classic dishes in a way that is interesting and delicious. I highly recommend vegans and nonvegans to try out this place as it is rare to come across such a gem in a small town like this.

Worse vegan spot ever I would never come back to this , this place has to be a joke , fried food was soggy , Philly cheese no flavor , Mac n cheese horrible just everything was bad I thought highly but disappointment , I've been vegan for 5 years n by worse spot I ever had ! Don't waste you time n money !

I work nights. The cold, damp unfriendly, unforgiving nights of Central Illinois. My work is more than a little moderately physical so I work up an appetite too. More often than not, the one thing that keeps me going, the one thing that keeps me on track is knowledge that I have some Under The Ground tucked happily away in my refrigerator. This food is sustaining on so many levels. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on a bunch of it.
