Great place for vegan food in the Normal Bloomington area! They have a beautiful ambiance with plenty of plants. We ordered a Philly sandwich and cauliflower rice bowl with a side of pasta and potato wedges. Each item was well made and delicious!

I have been vegan for 6 years and I've lived in many different places including Southern California where there is a ton of vegan resturants, and I've tried many places. I can say with ease that this is one of the best places I've eaten at. The service at this resturant is easily the best and it is not even close. Each meal comes out with beautiful preparation, and you can tell a lot of care was put into each meal. Everything about the service of Under the Ground is enough to keep you coming back. The food veganizes classic dishes in a way that is interesting and delicious. I highly recommend vegans and nonvegans to try out this place as it is rare to come across such a gem in a small town like this.

This is a quaint spot. Cute little upstairs and downstairs areas to dine. Seat yourself. The lady at the cashier (also the waiter) was really nice and gave some good recommendations. Too bad I didn't listen to them lol. My boyfriend ordered a vegan patty melt. This was pretty good and something the cashier/server recommended. I ordered the cauliflower wings. The taste was ok but it made my stomach feel a bit funny. If we are ever in the area again I would go back and maybe get the vegan Philly cheesesteak or Mac n cheese like she recommended. We also had vegan chocolate chip cookies and those were scrumptious. Before we left we grabbed another pack.

Worse vegan spot ever I would never come back to this , this place has to be a joke , fried food was soggy , Philly cheese no flavor , Mac n cheese horrible just everything was bad I thought highly but disappointment , I've been vegan for 5 years n by worse spot I ever had ! Don't waste you time n money !

How had I never been to this hidden gem?! I was so impressed by the quality of food here. I could hardly tell that the salami on the grilled cheese was meatless. It was super tasty.And the environment was beautiful! The downstairs area was so cozy, and you can tell how much work the staff put into creating a lively space.
