This place was recommended to us for their food being great. Me and my husband were in the area and stopped in. The food was freaking awesome!! Great service, friendly staff, cold beers. We didn’t have to wait long for our food which we had fried fish (huge catfish filets) and probably the best baked beans I have ever had. Look forward to stopping in next time we’re in the area and trying some other items on their menu. Definitely recommend this place!!
First time going to the Salty Boar, I looked at a menu online, went for the Chopped Brisket Sandwich, which was no longer available. I decided on the ½ Pound Fried Chicken Basket (southern) comes with Duke's mayo, lettuce and dill pickle chow. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The dill pickle chow was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband had the smoked chicken wings with the dry rub of course I had to try...
