Food was average at best. We all ordered the “specials” and we were all disappointed. I ordered a fish dish that had too much sauce. The fried shrimp were in the sauce so they were not crispy. The were also overcooked and chewy. The sauce was very heavy and salty.
Service was great, however food has gone down in value. I wasn't over all satisfied but still enjoyed our time at lunch
Calamari was pre breaded and frozen. So chewy and breading was soggy. My caprese salad was served with field greens. The tomatoes were mealy and flavorless. The mozzarella was barely enough and all no flavor. I ordered the lasagna, it was loaded with thyme and other herbs and the sauce was very acidic. Not my style at all. The eggplant parm was soggy and loaded with sauce. The spaghetti Bolognese and meatball were ok but same issue with sauce. The saving dish was the scallops wrapped in salmon with lemon risotto. Too seasoned for me but, better than other dishes. Heard so much about this restaurant and was so excited to try old school Italian and was very disappointed. All that for nearly $250 for four ppl!
Service was slow, and our dinner took close to an hour to arrive. The wine list needs help. The food was good but not worth the price tag. I had been wanting to go here for a long time and I was unfortunately disappointed.
My wife has been talking about trying Aliano's for quite a while now saying that it was really hard to get into, I was able to get reservations the day before with no problem. We were greeted right away and brought right to a table inside unfortunately it was not set, the host apologized and said that he would get it set right away, we opted for a set table on the patio which was very nice. The server was training a new server, a nice kid who made a couple small mistakes but over all did a great job for, what appeared to be his second day. The appetizer came out pretty quickly, we ordered the fried artichoke, it was fine but nothing special at all. The entrees on the other hand took a very long time to come out, the restaurant was only about half full, but the entrees took a good 45 minutes to come out. The food was fine but nothing special, a little disappointing given the hype we had heard about the place. The portions were very generous but most everything on the table was fairly bland and ordinary. In our opinion Aliano's was just okay, we probably wouldn't return on our own, we might revisit if it was selected by a friend or a group but there are many better options for Italian food, which is unfotruante because we live close and we were really hoping it would be better.
have to go with only 4 stars this time. Kind of have a feeling that the server bluffed a bit on the number of canolis in the desert. When asked how many it came with she said only 1. Then when it came it had 2 each. Because she said it only had 1, we both ordered the canoli desert. If she would have stated that it did come with 2, we would have ordered 1 and then had a different dessert. Just a little disappointed.
Middling italian food. Nice atmosphere, somewhat overattentive service. Indistinguishable from any other middling italian place anywhere else in the suburbs.

Sparse servings, no AC (84 degree day), awful music (Frank Sinatra Christmas music in September???), soggy calamari floating in grease, tiny Cesar salad, flavorless lettuce with store-bought dressing (charge extra $5.00 for anchovies), my wife’s pizza was good, obnoxious bartender, great waiter (he should go somewhere else).

I’m really disappointed with our experience at Aliano’s Friday night. We waited 10-15 minutes with no server coming to our table even though it was obvious we hadn’t been helped yet. We had to finally ask for someone, and when our server did come over, he was very apologetic and got our drinks and appetizer order.
We ordered calamari and a charcuterie board the calamari and drinks came out quickly, but after waiting about 20 minutes, we were told the charcuterie board wasn’t available because they ran out. At that point, we were starving and just went ahead and placed our dinner order. We also had to specifically ask for water, which felt like another small but frustrating oversight.
Throughout the night, it wasn’t just us other tables around us were also visibly frustrated waiting for someone to even greet them. It didn’t seem like the staff was overwhelmed, but rather just inattentive. Multiple employees were walking around, not noticing guests waiting to be served.
When our food finally came, we had to ask again for the check, and then waited even longer after it was dropped off. By the end of the night, all my friends and I could talk about was how disappointing the service and food were.
To top it all off, when we went to use the restroom before leaving, there weren’t even paper towels available to dry our hands.
We used to love coming here and went often before I moved away. After four years, I was excited to be back, but sadly, this experience left us unimpressed and questioning if we’ll return.

The service was poor. There was still a glass left at the table. The drinks were always left with me, so I had to hand them over to the person sitting opposite me. We had to wait a long time before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Thank goodness I mentioned right away which antipasti we wanted; the waitress didn't ask. Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have gotten our food for another hour. The antipasti was completely eaten, the waitress still hadn't taken our dinner order. The bruschetta tasted good, it gets 4 stars. The parmigiana and gnocchi were more like 2-3 stars.
the waitress was a complete 0. Either it was her first day at work and she had no idea how the job worked, or she was just terrible at it. You couldn't even understand her when she spoke; she spoke so quietly and mumbled. Dessert took so long to arrive that we just wanted to go home, so we had it returned. We sat there for a little over 3 hours. Far too long. Tiramisu has alcohol in it and it's not listed on the menu, which is a huge minus point! The waitress didn't even know if it was in there and had to ask, but then she said you couldn't taste it, but whether you could taste it or not is totally irrelevant.
A waiter introduced himself to us but never came back.

Service was horrible. Had reservations so seated quickly then waited and waited for service. Food was ok was warm not hot when it arrived. Had to send back dessert since it came late at the end of a 3 hour meal. It was a Friday so I understand busy but it seems like the waiter staff lacked direction.

Awful. Had a reservation, once seated we were given water and then sat there for 30 minutes without one word from any servers. After witnessing other tables get sat and service we decided to just leave. Very disappointed, was looking forward to a nice meal. Will Probably never go back.
Food was okay. Shrimp cream cause was broken/curdled. Im shocked they would actually serve that to me.
Also the manager didnt want to give us extra to go boxes because they cost the restaurant 1.50 each . Our bill was $200. Never coming back again.

Worst service I've had. Been here several times, service is just horrible. After being seated we waited 25 minutes and had to find someone to serve our table with water. Not going back to this restaurant.
