I was disappointed with the fact that they were not allowing customers inside after almost 3 years after Covid19. Not sure why? As far as the donuts...not filled enough, stale and very messy in the box. Wish this was not the case. They used to be so good!

my mother just attempted to purchase donuts only to be greeted by the rudest man possible which told her to go outside and do a curbside order when she asked can I simply just look at the variety of donuts he said no, and demanded her to go outside! these people are rude. They never pass their health inspection requirements and the customer service is a -10. And she’s an elderly woman I mean, how rude.

The day I went was curbside only. I waited for a parking spot to open, for about 10 minutes, then parked. The guy was rushing in and out, seemingly avoiding my car. I was fine with that for about 10 minutes, then I waived the guy down as he in a way was working around my car. He then tells me that he cannot get a single dozen donuts out to my car and it is 7:15 in the morning. He then goes on about how he has the best donuts in town, and has been too busy with preorders to deal with me. Overall he was just rude and seemed cocky. Bad experience.

Finally was able to make it to this place. You pull in, they come to your car and you order. The man was very nice and answered all my questions. Guess you can call in orders. Very tasty donuts and a must when I am home. Get up early and go Thursday - Saturday mornings only...you won't be disappointed.

Went to buy apple fritters for a morning coffee get together. Had bought them in the past for work. Now you can’t even go inside to choose what you want. Drive thru only and buy sight unseen. Bought 12 thin skinny fritters with little apple and mostly too sweet icing. Cost $24.00. Will not be back or recommend to anyone else. Service has certainly suffered.

If you can't handle an old fashioned experience than stay away. These folks are amazing and their donuts are amazing. The best around. It's never changed. I can't express enough how much you need to try them. Get at minimum a dozen of Randoms. They'll bring it out to you. Give them a big tip. They deserve it!!!!! I LOVE CARLS BAKERY!!!!! Real food real people!

Having never been here, I pulled in didn't know was curbside only. The owner cane out and rudely explained that. He asked what I wanted. After asking what they have, I just asked for a dozen assorted. My total was $18. I handed him a $20. I could tell he was expecting me to tell him to keep the change. Sorry buddy not tipping your attitude. The donuts were decent but not good enough to come.back and subject myself to his rudeness. Even when I thanked him he said nothing back. He should be thanking me for being a customer.

Sorry, the donuts don't compare to what Ron's in Washington had. Maybe if I could see them and pick out my own. I didn't get what I thought I would.

Amazing place to stop and grab some perfect donuts from some amazing people. Haven't had a quality donut like these in years! Recommended 10/10. They also have tenderloin Thursdays and fried chicken Fridays ! Can't wait to stop in and try some of that ! Keep up the great work and keep pushing! I will certainly revisit with my family again!

Amazing donuts made with fresh ingredients! I’m new to East Peoria and Carl’s Bakery was a great find. Gotta say there’s a reason this was picked a favorite winner by the Journal Star. It’s only open Thursday- Saturday. Order ahead if you want to get a big order! Thank you Carl and family (Doug)!

Saw the yelp and google listing- decided to go for coffee. Parked. Guy came out with a terrible attitude and “matter of factly” told me to take a hike and that their business would survive without my return. Never been here but drive by frequently and thought I’d check it out in the morning. They’ll never get my business. No coffee or donut is worth beginning your day with needless controversy. Peace
