We were in town for a Baseball tournament for our 10 year old son. My unsatisfactory stay began at check in, when I was told that I had to pay to park each night, this wasn't previously disclosed and I wasn't given an option to do something else with my vehicle. It also wasn't like there was valet parking, parking in a parking garage or a gated lot for my vehicles' safety...just ANOTHER hidden charge. Our $300/night room was dusty, out dated and the carpet was stained. The "sleeps 4" meant that the 2nd bed was a pull-out couch. When I requested new bedding for this couch at 10am the next morning because my child had gotten sick, it took 3 requests by me and 1 request from my husband to get this new bedding. And it wasn't until 10 pm on our 2nd night when we were being sent to our rooms like children by the cops because the manager had her feelings hurt, that this request was fulfilled. Also staying in the hotel were youth soccer teams, youth volleyball teams and members of the Junior High State track meet...lots of Kids...it was wonderful until it wasn't because of your night staff. They were rude to the kids, and yelled at them. Kids are kids, but all my observations were that they were enjoying themselves...until the staff yelled at them for running. No warning, no attempt to locate a parent to have a discussion...just yelled at the kids. At one point, one of the desk clerks yelled so loudly and startled every adult in the lobby area, to the point that we thought some thing was REALLY wrong...nope, just a kid being a kid. All of this will put any parent on the defensive when handling a situation. The 2nd night was worse as many people were congregated in the lobby attempting to enjoy our stay when the night manager began shaming a child for not having shoes on. Stating there "were signs everywhere" with the shoe policy...no signs! It was at this point a verbal altercation happened between a parent and the night manager. A brief period of time later the cops show up and force us to our rooms, because we were being trespassed by the manager. My family isn't overly wealthy, we don't have the luxury of taking additional family vacations...overnight stays for travel ball ARE our vacations. And to be treated like your staff didn't want children in your hotel is completely frustrating, especially since half to three quarters of the occupants this past weekend were families with kids playing sports. If youth teams and their families don't fit the bill for your normal clientele, you definitely need to take your name off list of approved stays for Louisville Slugger Complex. Additionally, I will be doing everything in my power to avoid staying at this hotel again, as well as any other Hilton-owned facilities. Upon check out, the desk clerk acted like I was an inconvenience and couldn't even bother to ask how my stay was/ There were no offers of any kind to correct my stay and make it right, no discounts or refunds mentioned.
Here we are at 3 am on the second ‘evacuate’ alarm of the night. So exciting.
Not open, at least not for lunch on Friday.
Ordered and waited over 45 minutes while people were served ahead of us.
Good food at decent prices, but often the drive thru service can be a long wait.
I had the berry salad and a burger. Not what it sounds like. It was a fresh green salad but rather than the usual dried cranberries everyone is using now, it had fresh strawberries, blueberries and blackberries in it along with croutons and red onion. It was wonderful. The burger was cooked to perfection and served on a pretzel bun. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Nice view of the river from outside seating.
My family and I ate at the cafe and it was great! They had a variety of options to choose from, including a weekend special, and a great kids menu. We had large, filling portions and the desserts were to die for! The chocolate cake is a MUST. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal on a night out - couples or families.

Had a great dinner at The Riverside Cafe tonight. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the staff was super friendly and efficient. Thanks to Chef Kevin for the excellent food, our server Miranda for the excellent service and Asst. G.M. Shawn for his professional and personal attention. Absolutely recommended! Thanks for a wonderful dinner experience.
Great food with a great view of the Illinois River
Over expensive carp
Managers Reception is from 5:30-7:30 daily which is open bar and unlimited snacks in the main Atrium of the hotel. Some days they have interesting games to win prizes. Love it!
