I came here for a simple kids steak burger with cheese, pickles and ketchup. Side order of fries as well. When I received my meal I got a burger with nothing on it, like who eats a burger like that? I waited for them to come back to the window, nothing. I had to honk to get someone's attention. After they came back I told them nothing was on it and there were no fries in the bag. They took it back and "fixed" it. Looked in the bag cause you know, you can't...
I did not realize that steak and shake started using kiosks and is counter service only. This led to a empty mcdonalds like experience in a desolate 50's themed diner. It was very odd. I felt i was in an abandoned mall designed by a boomer who thought the 50's were a good time to be alive. There are chairs blocking dining areas and while I was there a homeless man came in, purchased food and was harassed by a worker during his meal. I don't know the whole story...
I did not rate service because, even in restaurant, there is nearly no contact. You order at a kiosk, they call your name. It was easy enough to use the kiosk but it looses that reassurance you did it right. Get your receipt because to get a drink you need to scan it.
