Our server evan was great and the place was super clean very nice and peaceful the food was fresh and the music was not to loud at all where you couldn't be heard or even hold a conversation. I would definitely recommend going to this place

Stopped by Shotgun Eddy’s near Shawnee National Forest expecting just a convenient bite — turns out it’s a hidden gem. I got the chicken sandwich, fries, and chicken quesadillas, and honestly, those quesadillas were some of the best I’ve ever had!! I thought the place was only popular because it’s the only spot around, but that’s definitely not the case — it’s popular because the food actually slaps. Great portions, friendly vibe, and the perfect stop after exploring the forest.

Horrible manager! Waitress was fantastic! Food was good. Manager was terrible!! We had 8 in our group: 3 got catfish po boy, 3 got fried bologna, 2 got burgers. The po boys took 1 1/2 hours to come out, the burgers and fried bologna took 2 hours to come out. Other tables with burgers got their food well before us. We tried to talk to the manager but she wouldn't let us complete a sentence and walked away. No reason for our burgers and bologna to take so much longer than other's burgers. Our waitress did her best to try to make things right. Manager has ZERO customer service skills.

All we've heard from people all around was that Shotgun Eddys was the place to eat. Boy, was i the most disappointed I've ever felt in my life. We got there and ordered our appitizer and food. The restaurant was almost empty. Took forever to get our cheese sticks and 1.5 hours to get our meal which was just burgers and a hot dog. Meanwhile 25 people arrived far after we did and was all fed before us. The staff gave no explanation as to why it took us an 1.5 to get our food. Not even the worst part. The food was absolutely terrible. The burger was tasteless, fries where burned, the mashed potatoes had no flavor, and the gravy? Tasted straight up like burnt beef bouillon. I dont see how this place got such good reviews and I fully intend on never coming back.

Well after 1 hour 40 mins it came out cold. They took the wings back and tossed them in the microwave. My onion rings were not edible fish was way over cooked. $67 meal they discounted me $1.68 for cold food. Waitress says this isnt normal we are very busy. I said yeah i got that when you told us wait on food was about an hour the time is not the problim… she says sorry that is all I can do for you
