Love gulf shores! Went tonight to the St. Peter’s location and had a yummy dinner. The host was a young man and did a great job and our waitress was lovely and on top of it! Two elderly women came in a the younger of the two was extremely rude and entitled to the host (the young man). Rudely demanding a different table each time he tried to seat them. I just wanted to point out how well he handled it and that he stayed professional and kept a smile on his face the whole time. He deserves kudos. I told her on the way out to tone down her entitlement and not to be so rude to staff and she spiraled. Not shocking. I’m not a fan of treating those in the service industry rudely. Again he handled it very well. Good job to him!
I know people that have worked for this restaurant. Food is good but they treat employees like crap. Claim to be a family restaurant but the only family they care about is their own
Food was so 🗑️ service was bad everything was just terrible don’t recommend
This restaurant has the worst service ever and it starts at the top with the owners. they are the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met. in an attempt to make a reservation for daughters graduation dinner both over wanted to dispute the need for a cc over adding 2 people to my party. when I originally made my reservation for 13 no cc info was request. I called back to add 2 people to my party and was not allowed to confirm because I was driving. when I called back the 3 third time to confirm 13 I was again denied a reservation with a credit card with deposit. I was then told how not every employee can take reservation and my reservation was take incorrectly. I asked what that do I have to do with their staff training issues. in the end to have to owners argue with me of a $50 deposit when trying to spend my hard earned dollars is not the service I expect from any reputable business.
The first Gulf Shores experience was in Creve Coeur and everything was delicious. The husband and I came to the Edwardsville location thinking the food would be delicious here too. We were so wrong. The food was very bland nothing like the Creve Coeur location. We didn't finish our food it was a waste of $100, including a tip. The waitress was excellent though! I did post pictures of the food on my social media page, but I did recommend the Creve Coeur location.
Gumbo is basically dog food. little to zero meat. tons of tomatoes okra and celery little to no rice. all sitting in a unflavored pool of thin SALTY water. no flavor other than SALT. it's embarrassingly bad for a "Cajun" place. had the best gumbo last night at Almonds and was excited to try this but it was inedible.
I'm sure the food is good I just popped in for a quick drink. The staff was very nice and fun!
The food was overcooked especially the shrimp. Crab cakes were mostly cake, The burgers tasted like boxed cheap patties and all at fine dining prices. $100 for 3 people 😳. Definitely not worth it at all. The service was good though but of course there was the good ol 20% gratuity. First time there and we will not be back
Unfortunately, this was probably our first and last time going here. First off the restaurant looked nice and clean and our server was great so no issues there. We went on a Saturday for lunch and we were the only ones there so service was quick. I ordered the Lobster and Seafood pasta. Maybe I misunderstood the menu but I was expecting pasta with alfredo sauce and seafood on top but I’m assuming the meat was minced in with the sauce because there was no meat that I could see. Wasn’t terrible but sauce didn’t have much flavor and definitely not worth the price. My husband got the seafood boil which was awful. Everything was overcooked and mushy. The crab legs were obviously precooked and frozen because they were still ice cold in the middle. Just super disappointed.
The food was just so so not great. I will start with the good .. our server was amazing!!! the calamari appetizer was pretty good. The blacken flounder was the star.. I would order it again. The corn muffins were a 100 out of 10 they were really good and the green beans were pretty good also. Now the bad .. which was everything else.. I will say the crab cakes are the worst tasting crab cakes I have run across possibly the worst food I have ran across it was awful the texture taste just don't do it. The fried flounder and cod was so over cooked you could not even cut it with fork I had to peal the the coating to eat it. The cole slaw had a weird taste and was very dry. The fried oysters were tender but left a very weird after taste. Every item was either over seasoned or under seasoned.

First time there and it will not be my last visit
We got gator bites as an app, no meat just breading. My $40 Admirals Plate had 2 pieces of fish that tasted like it came from Long John Silvers. Disappointed to say the least.
My food was cold
Decent food.I was expecting more...I don't know...something different..
Went for dinner on a Friday night. We waited 10 mins, with no wait line, to be acknowledged that we’re standing there waiting to be seated. We were then seated and waited another 20 mins for a drink. It was not a waitress that got us drinks, but the hostess took it upon herself to at least get us drinks. We waited 20 mins to have our orders taken and then waited another hour for our food. Just a simple side salad was not served for half an hour. When the food was brought to us, it was cold and not good. We had been before and loved it, but won’t be going back now.
