Heavens ReJoyce and let the trumpets sound this is the best Italian mix cuisine I have ever had in my life!

I could write a short novel on how much I enjoyed this place. No seriously, I could literally have a start, middle and end with storytelling of the thoughts, navigation process, the entrance, the welcome, to the service, to the drinks and how they were craftily prepared, to the ordering process to receiving the food, then transitioning into the last chapter featuring the deserts being brought out to us to choose from elegantly displayed and described.

Maybe I’m just a newbie at this foodie thing but my goodness I will make it my mission to visit this place weekly if not monthly and treat others to dinners here whenever I get the chance!

My pictures and video don’t do it justice as the lighting was nice and calmly low lit for a beautiful atmosphere but I still wanted to share them!

We've been to Mio Osteria three times now, and I can guarantee that the food and drinks are nothing short of excellent. The vibe is cozy and the service has always been stellar. Last Friday (12/5/25) my husband and I had the BEST interactions with our server, Lauren. Her demeanor/attitude/impeccable service helped turn a rough week into an absolutely lovely evening; she made us feel like family instead of mere patrons. Clearly I believe Lauren deserves a raise, but at the very least I hope she knows how special she made our night ❤️

Intimate neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. Their Caesar salad is one of the best.

We had a great dinner here. Made reservations ahead of time as recommended and were sat on time. Drink selection and appetizer selection was great. Staff was very attentive. They had the patio open and windows open to the patio which made it a little cool inside but it was pleasant overall.

The foot was outstanding. I had the chicken Marsala and red sauce pasta side. Very good and make to authentic style. All the meals at the table were a hit.

We were told about some great weekday lunch specials and plan to be back soon!

Loved the experience, food and service. Lauren was our waitress and she was excellent. The bartender made some of the best old fashions and even was kind enough to chat with us about them. Definitely recommend.

Our waitress Tresa was very knowledgeable and she made our dining experience so enjoyable. If you are in Edwardsville you need to give this place a try because you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to dining here again.

The entire experience was underwhelming at best. The breab was stale, the butter was cold almost still frozen.if you are going to offer fresh bread make the effort to offer whipped butter. The mussels were iver cooked and lacked any real flavor. The squid ink dialog was the biggest disappointment. Squid ink should be black not Grey, tasted like they used squid ink pre-made noodle with frozen shrimp pieces. I am certain it was cooked by chef Mike (aka the microwave) server lacked any kind of a personality and the shirtless neighbor across the street was the final added atrocity. Avoid this place at all cost would be worth $50. Let al9be the $160 I was fleeced for.
