Always a good meal here. Rustic atmosphere simple menu, but everything is prepared to meet St. Louis Hill Italian standards. Neopolitan style pizza, bread and olive oil. Great house wine value, also good selection of wines by the bottle.UPDATE: This is one of our favorite restaurants in Edwardsville. It hits the sweet spot of consistently excellent Italian food without pretension or fuss. The service is always great. I don’t hesitate to take my St. Louis friends here. I know they will love it, too.

The food is superb. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is great. My husband and I decided to go to Sugo's for our 39th wedding anniversary. We were very happy with our choice. The salads were huge and delicious. I had the Ceasar Salad and my husband had the Special Strawberry salad. We also ordered the cheese and olive appetizer. For entrees we had the Lasagna and the Tutta Mare. Both were excellent and we had to bring home half of each due to the generous portion sizes. We will definitely be returning to sample some of the other items on the menu.Kaila, our server, did a wonderful job and was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the great food, staff and atmosphere, my husband and I had a fantastic anniversary dinner.

We were invited for a birthday celebration on a Saturday evening. The dining room was packed and they managed our party of 14 flawlessly. Service was very attentive...thank you Erica.....food was served hot and was very tasty. We have a enjoyed many dinners there ....and they have all been terrific. Thank you!

The reason this place gets as many stars as I gave is because the staff, mainly Rudy our server, was great. Hosts/greeters were very friendly and our server was efficient, friendly, knew his stuff about the menu. We like the rustic atmosphere of the place although overall cleanliness is uncertain.The bread that was brought upon arrival was good.The bruschetta was , unfortunately, the worst I’ve had- even though the presentation was fabulous. The tomatoes were straight out of a can and the entire dish seemed to have been prepared way in advance, plated, and put in a very cold refrigerator to be brought out as needed.The chicken spedini was “ ok”Served over spaghetti with a very bland tomato sauce. Overall the dish had very little flavor. The tortellini my husband ordered , again was “ ok” but nothing to draw us back in.Overall, not a good food experience and not worth going back.
