The main seating area is quite nice, down the hall from the kitchen and counter. The waiter was hustling to get everyone taken care of, he was the only one working the night I was there. And even though he was getting busy, he was very friendly and helpful.

Ordered a strawberry margarita which was just okay in my opinion. I wouldn't order again.

For the food, I had high hopes given all the other reviews, however, I felt like it was over hyped. It could have just been that I ordered a dish that wasn't great to begin with, or maybe they were just having an off night. I feel like there is potential which is why I'm giving 4 stars. If I'm ever back in the area I would come here again to try something different.

Not sure if this place has changed ownership or what, but something clearly changed. The menu is a lot smaller now. It is like one page now. The items I loved are no longer on the menu. Ie al pastor tacos. I happened to be in town, and I always make a point to stop by. I got shrimp tacos, they were okay, but lacked flavor quite honestly. Even the tortillas were bland. I can make better homemade tortillas. The rice was dry and flavorless as well. This is not the same food as before. Something has definitely changed since my last visit in May. The server was okay but not overly friendly either. Nothing like before where they were friendly, and checking on you.

Excellent food. Great margaritas. They share the space with the wine store so you can sit there if you want

Best quesadilla I have ever eaten! Flavors so good. It was a homemade corn Tortilla filled with shrimp and pablano peppers n cheese. Soooooo good. Came with beans and rice. Everything fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back!

Good food, came here in a recommendation. We got the taco dinner plate and a burrito.
We ordered down stairs, and they brought it up to the roof top seating. It was a beautiful day to sit outside, even though we were up on the roof someone came up to check on us and see if we needed anything. The tacos were very good, tortillas seem house made. Everything had a good flavor and service was great!

I had the MOLE OAXAQUEÑO and it was the BEST Mole I have ever had!

The server did a great job. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was OK, and I didn't realize until after I had ordered that there are actually 3 interconnected venues. I probably would have eaten in one of the other connected venues rather than order take out.

It was also a little tricky to find in the sense that there is very little signage. I almost gave up.

BUT back to the food! When I was on the website I looked at the menu and I could tell that this was the real deal, authentic Mexican food.

Glad I went the extra distance to park down the street and walk around until I found it.

Thanks for an outstanding meal!

You ever eat somewhere and just can't fathom the meal ending? This place will give you that time and time again!

Carne Asada is my jam... get it smothered in grilled onions and red sauce.

Oh, the chimichangas are also amazing filled with chorizo or pastor or both!

Burritos… best in town!

Their spicy green or red sauces are flavorful with just the right amount of heat.

Found a piece of masking tape in my burrito. I've been very disappointed with the food at Don Pedro recently, but this experience was the final straw. The servers are always friendly and I've never minded the higher prices they charge because the food quality used to be much better, but going forward I will spend my money elsewhere.

I ordered the Fajitas with no peppers ( I am a alergic to them! But thats no excuse for how small the portion of chicken is that I recieved it makes maybe one fajita! I feel like I got ripped off for as much as it cost there should of been enough to make three Fajitas! I feel like I got ripped off.?No excuse for this.

Easily the best Mexican restaurant in Effingham. That is saying a lot considering the amount of choices you have for Mexican food in this town. If you have a chance eat on the rooftop you will love it!
