Wife and I were traveling late into Effingham last year and now make a point to stay there so we can get to The Gabby Goat! Great food atmosphere and friendly service lives at the Gabby Goat that has recently moved into a bright new building behind the previous location. We WILL be back!

I ate here four years ago and it was fantastic! Back again tonight and it was just as good! I had the brisket flatbread again, it didn’t disappoint! This time they had a beautiful new building. The service was great, food fabulous, and the atmosphere even better.

Visited the new Gabby Goat on Sept. 4th. Just... WOW!! It's beautiful, similar layout to the original but so much bigger, brighter and LOVE the patio area. The highlight of our visit was our server, Emma! What a terrific person! Always smiling, talked with us about the new place, how much she loved it. Her enthusiasm and friendly attitude made us feel like we were talking with a good friend, not just a server. Thank you Emma for making our little date night super special and fun!

Me and my boyfriend went there last night amazing place and great food and are waiter helped us out on picking the appetizer and the food and really nice and kept on checking on us to make sure everything was still good

4 people, no alcohol, nothing extravagant (steak, seafood, ect.)burger, grilled cheese, fish tacos and a dog-n-tots with sides and a appetizer $103.00!!! Yeah won't be going back!

Was just there and when entering the guy at front desk said it would be a ten to fifteen minute wait. We said that's fine. We moved to the side. He then very rudely said are you staying or no. Excuse me? A yes we are standing here aren't we. Again very rudely phone number. I said you know what I don't need your rudeness. See you later which was a lie because I'll will never step in your establishment again

Traveling through IL and stayed in Effingham IL. This pub recommended by hotel staff. Very busy but immediate seating. Extensive and interesting menu. My wife and I shared the Cajun Caesar salad (full size) and Chicken tortilla soup. Both very flavorful. Generous portion. Rachel was our server and was excellent. Recommend this place and will try it again in the future.

This place is a hidden gem for travelers. I got about $300 worth of food, tried almost everything there. I recommend the basic Fish sandwich with sweet potato fries the most. Overall a top-notch place. Congratulations on breaking ground at the new location. Can't wait to come again. I stopped in for the food, but stayed for the dumpers! Five stars.

Parking: Great parking already, will only get better with new location.

Great local place. Great food and great server. Bar/restaurant.

Stopped here while driving through town. It was a Friday afternoon and they were really busy but able to get a table and our waitress was really good about getting our food and orders in so we can get back on the road.

Catfish Caesar salad was amazing and a really large portion even with their small salad. The brisket sandwich was really good and the waffle fries were amazing with their butter rum sauce.

Will definitely be a place to stop in at on our way through town.

Wow, what a find! We passed through town on a Sunday and stopped in to find a lively bar that offered some great food and service. The catfish bites were phenomenal, so flavorful and unique. Hubby got the chili, which was homemade, thick and slightly spicy. The house salad was chock full of goodies, including bacon. We split a grilled ham sammie, which hit the spot on a rainy day. Lots of craft beer choices. They were serving brunch, and several people around us ordered eggs, pancakes, etc. There was a line of locals waiting for seats, so get here early if you're looking for a spot at the bar. They had all the early NFL games on. Great place! We had no problem parking the MH and tow in the back of the large parking lot. ??

My wife and I were very happy to find this gem after a long day of traveling! The food was amazing, and the service even better. Natalie was very friendly and genuine, and very knowledgeable of the food and the beer selection. The restaurant was clean we loved tje atmosphere. Plenty to do too, such as a pool table, juke box and slot machines. Too bad we weren't in town long- we would've loved to have had brunch or something off the regular menu (We only had the late-night menu available, which was still vast enough). We will certainly be back in our travels!

Everytime I’ve ate here the food is 10/10 the place is always clean and nice and the servers are 10/10 also! Had the bacon ranch burger last time and might be the best burger I’ve ever had!

Love this place so much. I have been here many times since I was introduced to the Goat by some friends that I worked at Starbucks with in 2016. I have some great memories of going for drinks there with them after work. Everything I have ordered has been delicious, the prices are reasonable, they are well staffed and the service is always good. They have a great house drink and beer selection and a cozy yet spacious bar atmosphere. They also have a food truck at both Moccasin Creek Festival (in June) and Summer Sundown Music Festival (in September) at Lake Sara that is also always top notch. 10/10 eat here if you're considering it. You will not regret it.
