Upon entering I noticed the indoor golf simulators which would fun for for a small group. There wasnt any wait for a seat. The bartender acknowledged me as soon as I was seated and provided me with a menu and took my drink order. I ordered the wasabi encrusted ahi tuna steak. It came out super fast and was cooked perfectly. The capers that came along with it were amazing and full of a robust flavor featuring bacon bits and lightly coated red pepper spice.

Our family and friends were here yesterday, Sunday, to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday and our 55th wedding anniversary. The food and service were great. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness the staff showed us with a long table so we could all sit together. And the tv's were situated just right so our grandkids could watch the funny videos while eating.

Went there for the first time on Valentines Day. Had the blackened fish sandwich with fries, wife had the gyro. It was very good! It was very busy when we arrived but only waited a short time to be seated and our food came out quick and hot! Our server Nicole F was GREAT! Loved the open layout of the restaurant. Will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive server and staff. Food great. Hubby has had wings and salmon and they were delicious. I had the quesadillas and Mexican bowl and they were delicious. Great mushrooms. I highly recommend! Drinks are awesome and not over priced.

Went today for lunch, not good at all. 2nd straight time been bad. Mozzarella balls served ice cold, sent those back. French fries cold, cheese on burger nit melted, nothing hot? What's going on, like everything pre-made already. It was bad, not worth price at all.

Went to dinner with my partner and pup at The Gopher Hole this weekend, food was hit or miss. The German egg rolls were fantastic but everything else we ordered was pretty nondescript. Beer selection was good, vibes were children’s birthday party meets drunk uncle sports bar casino, it weirdly worked if that’s your thing. Dog friendly, our pup Cash had fun looking for scraps on the patio.
Just visiting Effingham for the night, and we were very glad we found Gopher's Grill for dinner! The food and service were great, and the atmosphere was excellent. I had the Philly Cheesesteak (topped with cheese whiz, like it should be), and my wife had the SW Chicken Salad. Both were outstanding. There was also a great selection of local and regional beers at reasonable prices. We had a great time and would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good food at a fun place.
Parking: This was not a busy night, and we had no trouble finding street parking, but if it was busy it would be more difficult.

Great place to meet up with friends and or family and enjoy a great meal along with the added atmosphere of many large TV's displaying various sports of the season. There is also a multi sport interactive experience with several bays. This place also has a single pool table, a decent bar area and some arcade (not gambling) games upstairs. Wait staff do there best to keep on top of drinking refills without being annoying.
Parking: During peak hours expect to park a block away. That said the area is very safe and well lit.
Kid-friendliness: Arcade with a bunch of token play games to keep the young and young at heart entertained.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level easy access and plenty of room to maneuver inside.

Family lunch passing through the area... Our little dog was welcome in the patio!! Tasty adult beverages were made well and delicious. Ordered spinach artichoke dip and street fries for appetizers... More than needed but we wanted variety. Lunch was a steak quesadilla, salmon with green beans, Philly cheese steak with fries and a steak with brussel sprouts. Everyone left with a full belly. And the service was outstanding ?.

Checked out the Gopher Grill while passing through on a road trip. The service and food were great. I absolutely loved the tiramisu cocktail. It was strong, but delicious. The game room upstairs gave the kids a chance to stretch their legs and unwind. I would return if we lived in the area. Definitely check them out!
