We attended a thank you dinner at the Effingham Event Center as volunteers with over 100 others. It was catered by Niemerg's Restaurant which is always great. They honored most everyone with small gifts.My wife and I volunteer at Enduring Freedom Ministries in Shumway. As a Master Mason our group volunteers for the blood drive held at the Event Center. I've done it the last two times. Several Masons from our lodge volunteered to install the youth reading stations at Lake Sara. We will finish the project in the spring. There are 25 stations for kids to read books which can be changed. It is in cooperation with the Effingham Public Library. At the end they will walk one quarter mile.My wife made 135 Christmas stockings for FISH to give to nursing home, assisted living, or hospital patients. They filled each with personal hygiene items, activity books, candy,etc. We love doing stuff like this by giving back to the community.

A huge chuck of my family have held their wedding receptions here, and for good reason.

Had my reception here. Friendly staff and the bar next door is a nice place to grab a drink if you aren't looking to host or attend an event.

They are a great asset to the community.. I was there for a blood drive and everything was super clean.. plenty of parking and easy on and off the highway..
