Found myself in Effingham with my dad. And my dad asked me I had been to Pizza Man. He could not remember the name as he is 88 years old but he remembered he liked it, whatever it was called. We found it and ate. My expectations were low. Did not expect to find such a tasty lunch spot. I grew up in Carbondale, spent 4 years in USMC and stationed in Sicily, and I currently live in Chicagoland. Quality pizza has never been hard to find. Now the Sicilian pizza, nobody here can touch....
I was a walk-in on Thursday, August 8th. The place was filling up as I waited for my pizza. I waited 30 minutes. I’m from Effingham but moved away in 1990. I used to work there through lunch in the late 80’s. I worked for a woman named Sherry, great boss.

Passing through this area and stopped here for lunch. Their specials are a bargain! We got the lunch special for 2 that was a 10’ 2-topping pizza, salad (from a salad bar) and 2 drinks for $16.50. And it was very tasty. Would recommend.
