Out in the sticks where folks are a little nicer and take their time. In a good way. Mead flights are interesting. BBQ is good.but turkey has been a bit dry 3 times out of 3 visits. Maybe brine it longer beforehand to keep that moisture in folks. Otherwise --see you again next time we go by.

The food was great with a nice variety. Mainly BBQ, which you can not go wrong. I had the Brisket chili, and it was delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Overall, it was a great place to go. Family-friendly brewery, too. Nice Beer selection. Will be going there agin.

This was my 2nd visit. Went back for the smoked brisket chili with the corn bread! Our waitress was great and helpful with the drink selections. It's a bit of a drive, but I'd go back!
Parking: Wish the lot was paved. Went on a rainy muddy night.

Nice looking place, beer is much better than the brisket. Brisket was bone dry. Turkey was covered in gravy and cranberry and the texture was off, over brined I think. Pricey, but I get it. One and done for me.

Very disappointed in dinner last night. Ordered ribs ( which had one time previously and were excellent). This time they were awful. COATED in sugar. So weird. Granular brown sugar top to bottom and front to back. Also I saw on online menu they offered a burger. No burger on menu.
A Culinary and Craft Brewing Odyssey at Obscurity Brewing
Nestled in the charming village of Elburn, Illinois, Obscurity Brewing stands as an illustrious beacon for culinary connoisseurs and craft beer enthusiasts alike. This multifaceted establishment masterfully intertwines the ancient art of smoking meats with the modern science of brewing, offering patrons an unparalleled gastronomic journey. Through the meticulous preparation of dishes and the innovative curation of beverages, Obscurity Brewing elevates the seemingly ordinary into the extraordinary.
The Art of Smoked Meats: A Testament to Culinary Precision
At the heart of Obscurity Brewing’s menu lies its pièce de résistance: an array of smoked meats that epitomize culinary craftsmanship. Each cut is treated with the utmost reverence, undergoing a transformative process in custom smokers. This painstaking method infuses the meats with a symphony of flavors, where the smokiness dances in harmonious unison with the natural juices of the protein.
Patrons are presented with a diverse selection, ranging from tender brisket that practically dissolves on the palate to ribs so delectably glazed they require no accompaniment. The pulled pork, slow-cooked to perfection, boasts a texture so unctuous and a flavor so robust that it could easily stand alone as a centerpiece. Complementing these offerings are house-made sauces that range from tangy Carolina-style vinegars to rich, molasses-infused barbecues, each crafted to amplify the meats’ inherent qualities.
A Destination Worth the Journey
In an era where dining experiences often feel commodified, Obscurity Brewing stands as a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful preparation and genuine passion. Whether you are drawn by the allure of expertly smoked meats, the vibrancy of fresh, inventive salads, or the boundless creativity of craft beer, Obscurity Brewing delivers on every front.
For those fortunate enough to find themselves in Elburn, Illinois, this establishment is not merely a place to dine or drink; it is a destination that invites you to savor, linger, and return.

I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and inviting. I chose to bring a lace martini as well as a blackberry mead. Both tasted amazing. I had an appetizer of the pretzel bites and ate the BBQ brisket sandwich. They had great flavor in the seasoning of their brisket. Be prepared to drop a bit of money but it is a great meal.
Parking: The parking can be a little bit of a pain. There's is some parking on the streets as well as the lot; the parking lot is also gravel.

Love the atmosphere (but very warm inside) and the creative craft beer options were original. Food was filling and pricey.

We went to Obscurity Brewing to try their beers. While we were there, we were blown away by how wonderful not only the beers were, but also the food and atmosphere as well. Our group included my mom, mother and father-in-law (in their 70s), two children (9 and 12) and my husband.
Everyone enjoyed their food!! To start we got the cornbread muffins- they are to die for!!! The kids each had the mac and cheese with fries, my mom had the pulled pork and fried potatoes, my MIL had the shrimp with street corn (she felt the shrimp were a little spicy but still loved them) and my FIL had the BBQ mac pretzel sandwich, my husband had the brisket and I had the portobello mushroom sandwich. There is also a playground that is across the street from the brewery, and I should mention you cannot bring your beer over while you are watching the kiddos. This place is a must go and we will be back!!
Vegetarian options: There is a portobello sandwich as well as salads you can get with no protein.
Kid-friendliness: There is outside dining, a playground across the street, and inside there are TVs and a noise-tolerant atmosphere:)
