We had a really cool experience at Highway 20 Brewing Company!
The original design and structure of the place are truly one-of-a-kind, with a unique charm that sets it apart. The customer service was exceptional - everyone was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The beer selection was top-notch, with a variety of flavors to suit any preference, and the snacks were perfect for pairing with the brews. It’s clear they put a lot of thought and care into every aspect of the experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great drinks, delicious bites, and a welcoming atmosphere!
Great little brewery with excellent service and fun people to chat with. A couple buddies and I stopped by while in Galena and had a great time at this brewery. The locals treat you like a local and the old church has been beautifully redone with a great patio. Will definitely be back if ever in the area.
The beer is really good and lots of flavor. I liked the cherry sour and the IPA I had.
Great place! Loved the outdoor space and the live music!
The awesome live music alone every weekend makes me give this place a five star review but this brewery with their unique building, great atmosphere, creative menu, and delicious drinks deserve it. I also love having a variety of different food trucks that are brought in right nearby to choose from! Thank you for adding such a great business to our little village!
Great beer and an awesome beer garden. Live music on most weekends!
Fantastic brewery with amazing beer! The owners/staff are great people, and the history of the building is awesome.
Very clean, the best vibes, and diverse beer menu.
Definitely stop in for a beer (or 3?)
Lovely little place. You never know what to expect from a brewery that is in a church! But, from the friendly service to the delicious beer, we are glad we stopped by! The whole experience was 100%. The vibe, decor, bar, outdoor space and the beer selections are all great. Def worth a stop when passing through. The Tipsy Cow beer was our favorite. Nice to see that they also partner with other local businesses like Galena Cellars or Blaum Brothers. We will be back and will also take our friends and family here.
Live music as early as 4 on Friday? What's not to like?Nice variation of brews, but we felt all variations had a similar taste. Wife didn't like beer selection and really enjoyed the wine. All of us liked the place so 5/5 it is. Although a critique is following, the place is great. To owner: take one recipe you have and go extreme...double ingredients and see what happens. In my opinion, brews we had tasted similar. Since the standard set was good, all were good, but none jumped out at us Our preference is a beer name (wheat, stout, pils, etc) has that distinct flavor. Most beers (even with extreme color differences) had similar tastes. I would prefer to see some bigger differences between them. The base starting point is good, but we didn't feel that beers had their distinct flavor really pop.Overall, this place is doing great things, super cool small place...even if owner doesn't take my suggestions, its worth a stop. Thanks. We enjoyed our brief stop.
The old church building drew us in for a visit, but I was shocked to find THREE new beers that I really liked. It's rare for me to find so many at one brewery. The atmosphere is great and the stained glass windows are beautiful. Definitely worth the visit.

We’ve stopped in twice during my annual birthday ski trips, and it’s been a fantastic experience each time. The bartender is so kind and delightful, and the beer’s pretty darn good for such a small place! The building itself is awesome, holding true to its roots with beautiful stained glass windows. There’s a lovely patio and yard out back for the kids and dogs, I’m sure it’s perfect in the summer. A few snacks and games available to keep you busy. Our dog had a great time hanging out here and meeting new friends! Stop on in on your way through town.
Great stop on your trip out to Galena or on your cross-country drive on Highway 20! Cole was a fantastic bartender (great recommendations and customer service)…and the beer was excellent as well (try the Isabel Mexican Lager…you will not be disappointed)!
Rejuvenated old 1875 church right on Hwy 20 with FANTASTIC beer. Nice people and great atmosphere. Well worth a destination stop.
My mom and I stopped in for the first time this past Sunday, we had such a great time! I purchased a growler of their oktoberfest, looking forward to getting it filled up with the Christmas Ale when my parents go back in December—The gentleman working there was so friendly and welcoming, he explained the history of the church and told us about the great town of Elizabeth. His students are sure lucky to have such a fun teacher may I add, I wish I asked him his name but make sure you tell him what a great experience he made it!
Yep, if you are in the area you need to stop by. REAL GOOD beer! (and it's in a cool, old church)
