Big Sammy's has been in Elk Grove Village for a long time, and many people love the food. But, I find it has become way overpriced for what it is... fried frozen food and burgers and hot dogs, etc. It's greasy fast food. Small tater tots - $5.55. A double cheeseburger - $9.50. My wife had a pizza puff ($4.50) and cheese curds ($6.50). A corn dog for $4.55. Our quick meal cost $34, and it was disappointing. Of our meal, the only part cooked with some fresh ingredients on it was my burger. The rest was frozen food cooked in the fryer.

We used to live in Elk Grove. We were in the neighborhood and decided to go to Big Sammy's for old times sake. I ordered a Bbq pulled pork and I got extremely sick for 3 days. I had bed ridden food poisoning for 2 of the 3 days. I felt uneasy as soon as I was digesting the sandwich. Not sure if they gave me spoiled meat or what. Terrible.
