Purchased Rib tip and chicken wing combo. When I got home all the sauce had spilled out of the tray and into the bag. The sauce was watered down. The bottom of the bag was filled with the watery sauce. It was so watered down that I couldn't taste it on the food. Steak fries came with the meal. Half of the fries were not completely cooked and the other half were dried out as if they had been reheated. The chicken was not good either. I will never go to 79th Street BBQ again.

Was at smoothie King Thursday, While waiting for my wife smelled some BBQ so I ordered a large tip for my family and I. The Crew there was so friendly, Courteous, and nice I felt like a was a repeat customer. They were fast the food was DELICIOUS. So Delicious that I spent like $23 dollars Thursday for a large Tip. Came Back yesterday which was Saturday and Brought 2 large Tips and a X Large combo which comes with four links and we’re just finishing it today Sunday. Delicious and fulfilling. I’ll see them again next week.

Damn good BBQ. We arrived a little after 6:30pm on a Tuesday, so they didn't have too many items available but I had the 79th street combo which includes rib tips/ 2 links with a side of Mac n cheese and yams to go. The links are a bit spicy (that's not a complaint) and the rib tips are fire? the sauce is on point, not too sweet, not too spicy. Combos come with slices of white bread. The Mac n cheese was okay but the yams... DELICIOUS! I'll definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.

I ordered turkey tips and chicken wings from this establishment for the first time and the food was delicious. Tender, juicy and well seasoned with generous amounts of barbecue sauce. The prices were competitive…inflation is hitting everyone hard. The staff was nice as well. I plan to order again soon.

Went on a Friday afternoon, Only a few guest and they had NO bread. COLESLAW, BEEF or TURKEY! Ordered tip/link combo which was supposed to come with a drink. Drink dispenser was broken but they said nothing. When I asked to get a can soda, they we VERY hesitant. Cashier was annoyed when we ask to delete something from our order, mainly because she was not proficient with the computer. Food was not hot., and we dined in. How does a Rib joint NOT have Bread??? NEVER AGAIN.

I came here after visiting the nail place a couple of doors down. My turkey sausage links, macaroni & cheese and greens all were way to spicy. Macaroni had way too much peper in it. I don't enjoy very spicy food. Please tell people in advance or on the menu when the food is going to be spicy. I will say the chicken wings were good and not spicy.

Had a wonderful time at 79th street barbecue . The food is so delicious. The part I love the most, is when you stuff yourself. There’s still room for dancing.. The blues band is awesome… They even have open mic some Saturdays. So if you feel you could sing the blues, .come join me for a night of fun.. See you there

I used to love this place. Went here for a quick bite and I'm not sure what happened. Five employees standing around behind the counter. Cook came up front to talk with one of five standing around. Portions were really small and skimpy on sauce for the price paid. Place looked empty and deserted at first before others came. Staff were loud and unprofessional. Probably won't go back again.

The pork rib tips and chicken wings were cooked to perfection and the flavor was amazing! The barbecue sauce is tangy and so good! I love Barbecue and will travel far like Evanston. This food is gooood!Plus they have a live deejay on Friday nights named Rick. He is a Latino soul brother! He was excellent and a great mixer. From 80s to house music to R&B. I ate and then stayed to chair dance to the music ?I will look at this place in the future to rent out for gathering. Very nice experience and so are the staff! I'll be back very soon.
First time I got the tips, great! Second time out of pork tips so I got the Turkey tips, they were okay, maybe because I had a taste for what I had the first time. Third time, it was horrible, I called and told them. It was like scraps for a dog. This last time was pretty good,just too much sauce, made the few fries we got soggy. They need to be consistent.

Customer Service was horrible. Turkey tips were delicious but they had no drinks, only water and Mountain Dew. I was mean mugged by people who worked there because I asked for take out container. And was told to turn around and throw my own garbage away by gentleman in the back. The lady who took my order was nice but everybody else was terrible. Will never come back. .

Food is over price and charged 5 for 11 ounces of fries. Gonna tell all my friends never to go here. I know times got tough but rip 1 person off and at least 20 others will know. Portions just keep shrinking.

This place is ok nothing special. I do like the baked Mac n Cheese though. I’d like to frequent more often for the Mac n cheese but the place doesn’t adhere to their own hours of operation! They also are out of sides the majority of the time outside of French fries. This place leaves a lot to desire and any review stating they have live music is a fake review. NON of their location play live music although the evergreen park location has a set up for a band I’ve NEVER seen one actually occupy the stage. Take your money elsewhere is my opinion. THIS IS NOT FALSE INFORMATION AND I WILL NOT TAKE IT DOWN, sorry “owner”.
