This place is on par or better with everything ive had. The service is great but can be a bit loud if they've got a band playing which I've only experienced a few times. The chicharron or chilli relleno usually my go to the menudo is great as well.

Wow way to charge 15% of whatever we bought. They did not have anything displayed that there would be this charge for any type of party over 5. They charged me 44$ as an added tip. Never coming back! Scammers!

I called to place an order for mussels and I was very specific with the young woman who served me and I asked her that I wanted them well browned and I ordered a shrimp ceviche toast everything was very good when I arrived they treated me very well the service and everything but when I arrived I went home with my order, what was my surprise that the mussels were well parboiled, the shrimp ceviche toast was more like vegetable toast, it didn't come with anything more than two small pieces of shrimp. I called back to tell the young woman about the problem, not to complain about anything else. I wanted to let them know that my mussels were not browned and I didn't even mention the vegetable toast. The only thing she responded to me was that she said in the order that they were browned but that it was the cook's fault and well it was all in. Actually, every time I go there I like the seasoning but this time I was disappointed. I had to get home and love the mussels that I had ordered golden because if you are paying for something it is because you want to enjoy it the way you like it and they are not cheap at all for them to give you such a bad service.

This place is not much on ambiance since it's at the back of a grocery store. However the food is very good and the tostada de ceviche is probably the best I've ever had. We will be back.

Crazy good, authentic food. Love their food and Margaritas. We enjoy the Birria Pizza, queso fundido, enchiladas. When the have seafood from across the street it is great too.

Authentic Mexican restaurant with a deep menu of delicious choices! The service was attentive and the Margaritas were delicious and not too sweet. We enjoyed the Camerones cocatel as an appetizer. Molcajete was spicy and delicious--and huge! Mojarra was crispy and fresh. It was a Monday so there weren't many people in the place, but there was a constant flow of a few tables. Everything was clean and I would return for a real local experience. The grocery store attached is also pretty cool with lots of spices and a meat counter.

Everything was delicious except the posole. That was just awful. It tasted like rotten meat or some kind of dead material. It was so bad I came home and threw up from it a couple of hours later so I know something was wrong with it. The chilaquiles with the steak was on point!

I would've never found this place driving by but the food was soooo good! The restaurant is at the back of the grocery store, highly recommend the street tacos!

This is a great find for authentic Mexican food. One of my Mexican friends took me here so I knew if he said it was going to be authentic it would be. I had the Tacos de Birria and he had the Torta. I had never had tacos de Birria before and would definitely recommend. The tacos are deep fried, which I'm told maybe they shouldn't be, but I still liked them. Dipped into this amazingly flavorful consume broth it really was a terrific dish. I tried some of the Torta and it is also delicious. Wait staff spoke English well enough but having a native Spanish speaker at the table added to the overall authenticity. Looking forward to going back to try more of their menu!

After having extolled the virtues of El Ranchito (across the street) I was convinced to give this place a try. Same concept, really nice, compact Mexican grocery with meat and staples, charming. In back there is a restaurant and it was great. The music was a little too loud for an old man but the service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We started with chips and salsa and they brought authentic chips with verde and red sauce. Both were outstanding. I got three tacos (pollo, carnitas and pastor) and my lunch mates got enchiladas and a burrito. Everyone cleaned their plates. Lunch for three 45 bucks with tip was outstanding. I will put in the rotation. Strongly recommend.
