What a delightful surprise we found at Sleepy Creek Vineyards through Harvest Hosts! This charming winery in Fairmount, IL offered excellent parking options for our RV, but the real treat was the lively atmosphere we discovered.
We lucked out by arriving on a Friday night when they had live music and $1 hot dogs - talk about a perfect evening! The standout drink of the night was their incredible green apple slushy with caramel - a refreshing twist that hit all the right notes. We also couldn't resist taking home a bottle of their Sour Puss wine to enjoy later.
The parking setup for Harvest Hosts members was well-thought-out and spacious. It's clear they understand and welcome RV travelers, making it an ideal stop for anyone touring through Illinois wine country.
Between the festive atmosphere, wallet-friendly food options, and tasty wines, Sleepy Creek Vineyards offers a wonderful overnight experience. If you're a Harvest Hosts member planning your route through Illinois, make sure to add this gem to your itinerary!
I love this place! Great atmosphere and great people. The owners are the Best! Great for a night out or book for an event.
Great venue on a gorgeous property. Wife and I did wine flights and we ended up taking a few bottles home. Try the tomato-jalapeño wine for something different!
I see why the prices aren't posted on the board. $12 for a pretty mediocre sangria. Just get a bottle. $1 to sample. Credit card fees. Overpriced for the level of quality.
Grounds are nice but not on par with places like Oliver Winery.
Live music is nice.
Would not return.
Great learning experience on some of the last days of grape crushing/wine making with vintner Mr. Jackson. He's a wonder, explaining well the entire process. He gave us an appreciation of the intricacies of the art. Thank you! The wines, of course, were phenomenal!! Volunteers welcomed!
WOW! OUTSTANDING WINE, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE!!!
It was my youngest cousin's 21st birthday today and we had a beautiful party at Sleepy Creek. It unfortunately rained, so we had to bring it inside, but there was plenty of room. We loved the winery cats so much ?. We appreciated the staff for being so accommodating and it was a great party! The wines were very enjoyable, our party had a few bottles and some flights. Would definitely come again.
Beautiful grounds & buildings on the wonderful winery with wedding and celebration venue. Exquisite choice of wines and pizza to satisfy your taste buds. A beautiful pond outside to sit by with shaded grassy seating to enjoy an afternoon, day or however long you have.
Lovely winery with a lot of outdoor seating, on the front porch, and in the yard with a view of the beautiful vineyard. A nice variety of wines, some very creative. Great atmosphere and a very friendly staff.
What a great winery! Beautiful atmosphere and grounds, and very good wines. Especially liked their "unique" wine offerings: Lady Peche, peach wine with a little habanero pepper infused! And Winey Mary...tomato and jalapeno wine! Can't wait to try some with some V-8! Of course there are other great wines to taste too...all at a very fair price! Knowledgeable and personable sommelier. ? Perfect Harvest Host overnight stop on our way back home to NY state!
Going to comment on a few of the other reviews: one talked about rodents...saw none but it is a rural area and there are mice in fields, hence, the cats (that someone mewed about) that are around and very friendly..who help keep the mice in line. Another person complained about the price for a glass of wine...I suggest this person try a few other places who sell glasses of wine for 12$ to 14$.
Do not let the whining comments keep you from wining there! Try it yourself. ?

Very nice place. Beautiful place inside and out. Walk along the pond, check out the bull frog or sit on swing. Carla was so helpful!! Even talked to us about where else we were going. Helped suggest places to visit, eat and sleep. Great experience!!!
Great winery. My friends and I stopped here while on a girls trip. I loved the white sangria. One of friends bought a bottle of Scapegoat. Another friend enjoyed playing with the kitties they have there.
We try to go here with my brother and sister-in-law whenever we're in the area. The new wine Snawfus is really good. Relaxing place to sip wine and hang out!
The atmosphere was nice, the food was great for the Murder Mystery dinner!
Wine is very good, but their events need better organized. Trying to serve warm beer is not acceptable. It's very easy to buy a large cooler if anything else. Barn is pretty, but kind of hard to get around the way the tables were set up. Band was good, but they needed a better sound system for the building. We couldn't understand words or anything when someone would talk.
