Tried the Lake Water! Great fruity drink but would not recommend if you are driving ? had a medium rare ribeye that was perfectly done and very tasty without any added sauce. Noticed that others at the table that ordered med well thought theirs was a little dry. Asparagus was on the small side and overdone but over all everything was good and the service was great.
The food was good, but the guy standing behind the bar couldn't help our server with drinks? What's with that?! The young lady who was our server was excellent and had a lot of tables to serve.
Finally tried Tailwinds in Findlay, IL. Just a short drive into town from Lake Shelbyville. Been open since 1987. One of the newer owners was there as the chef last night. Tim was more than happy to show off his cool space. It’s spotless. Used to be a bank ? The old vault is now the refrigerated beer cooler. Gabby was our bartender & server. Her mother & she own 12-Layers bakery across the street. Try the homemade pie, trust me! Vintage wooden props & photos of planes...
