Don't show up without a reservation. I was told 15-20 min wait. Hostess proceeded to seat a party ahead of us then. We waited over an hour before deciding to leave. Really disappointing

Prices went up and service went down ! Liver and onions $34.95 šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø Gus and Charlie used to take pride in their prime rib ! Elba's prime rib looks sad and overpriced! Saying goodbye to this place after 30 years! šŸ‘‹

I have been coming here since 1969 and tonight I ordered a 6 ounce fillet and a 4 oz lobster tail. The lobster tail was as big as my thumb and very dry and the fillet had very little flavor. We had to ask for butter for the lobster. Very disappointed. I was there approximately one month ago and everything was delicious. Very very disappointed and I have to say it’s one of my favorite restaurants but not anymore. My motto is if it’s not broke don’t fix it. They obviously changed their purveyors with their meat.

Haven’t been to the Golden Steer in about 15 years. Still basically the same great steak house. Started with baked French Onion soup and it was delicious! Flavorful broth and lots of cheese. Big fillet cooked to perfection at medium rare and baked potato. Other order was a NY strip which was also cooked perfect. No frills place with good food. Sidenote get the cheesecake!

The food and service us not as good as it used to be. When ordering pork chops, I was expecting bone-in pork chops, not butterfly pork chops. Those I can buy at the grocery store.

Great bread, salad dressings, French onion soup, baked potatoes and steak! The chicken and ribs were great too. Staff was so kind. Can’t wait to come back!

Terrible food, especially the steaks! Three people over $200 for two steaks and a steak salad, two beers and 2 onion soups.
The steaks were tough, well done and full of fact. The steak salad was mediocre, however, the onion soups were phenomenal. That is the only reason the food got the two stars…
