Ordered the fried catfish dinner combo with shrimp and okra. I suggest getting the catfish fried hard with lemon pepper. Food was delivered within 15 minutes of ordering and was still hot. Delish!

The atmosphere is good the guys taking your order are very nice. Every time I go here though there’s something wrong with the food today I ordered gizzards and they were not clean at all. There was bile still on the gizzards and I didn’t notice of course until I ate them and spit it out. Restaurants have to do so much better with their cleanliness and serving to the public!

The fish to me was undercooked and the fries was cold and they charge almost 4% more when you pay by credit,even though they are 5 minutes away probably won't be back, 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️

If you're looking for fresh fish, this is a great place to eat. It's not a restaurant where you can dine in, but rather a takeout option. I always order the catfish steaks, and I've never had a bad experience here. They are very consistent in terms of food quality and service. The only area I believe could improve is larger servings of sauces for the dinners.

As a loyal customer of J&J Fish, I am writing this review to express my disappointment with my recent experience at the restaurant. Located at 319 S. Harlem Forest Park Il, the coleslaw served to me was sour and the chicken and fish were fried in unclean oil. As a concerned customer, I personally called the manager/owner to inform them about the issue with the coleslaw. Despite being respectful, I was met with rudeness and multiple hang-ups, which was disheartening. Quality food and good customer service are crucial when dining out, and it is essential for the restaurant to ensure both for their customers' satisfaction and health. I kindly request that the manager/owner address the issue with the sour coleslaw and improve their customer service practices. As a concerned patron, I hope that everyone cooking at the restaurant has their food and sanitation license to avoid any potential health risks for customers. It is my sincere hope that these concerns are taken seriously and necessary steps are taken due to the rude customer service. I'm honored to share some knowledge just in case you don't know. Spoiled coleslaw from a restaurant can cause various foodborne illnesses, primarily due to bacterial contamination and improper temperature control. These can include listerios. Listeria is a foodborne illness caused by bacteria that is able to grow at refrigeration temperatures. Outbreaks in recent years have been linked to contaminated coleslaw, milk, and cheese.
The entire purpose of ordering shrimp from a specific restaurant is to have sauce on the shrimp itself or on the order on the wings so I intentionally ordered a second order therefore paying more money to have the sauce placed on the order on the shrimp or on the chicken they provided the order without any sauce at all snd insisted that they would not refund my money
