Ordered take out on a Thursday evening and food was exceptional. I got birria tacos and a steak taco. 5/5 for each. Absolutely delicious and flavor was so juicy and seasoned. Horchata has been better, but overall delicious mexican staples

I've been wanting to try Macho's for weeks because of their great reviews, and I like to support local. So tonight I ordered dinner for delivery...asked that food be delivered between 5:50 - 6:10 pm (I ordered at 5 pm so.....reasonable? I thought so). Order confirmation quoted delivery between 6 and 6:20. Ok fine. 6:30 rolls around, no food, so I check delivery status...the delivery driver is on their way to Machos to pick up the food....we finally received it around 6:40 pm. Ice cold, soggy chips, soggy tostadas, wilted lettuce...you get the idea. I emailed right away to complain and have not gotten a response. I'm not holding my breath. I may have given them a second chance, but since I got crickets after I reached out, I'll order elsewhere next time. The 2 star review is very generous, by the way.

This is by far our favorite place to go to for lunch! The staff is always super friendly, the food always hits the spot I am not sure why there’s a few reviews about it not being all that. It’s probably people picking up food and eating it cold! You want good food? It’s always best to it there and then. At the very moment it comes out the kitchen! Everything is delicious but my all time favorites are La tampiqueña, carne a la India and the steak taco dinner. Don’t skip the horchata and enjoy the handmade tortillas!

The food was ok, the salsa was excellent though being a warm spicy salsa. However they were skimpy telling us they would change for more than 2 small baskets of chips. They also only gave us one napkin. That's one of the reasons why it was ok

Delicious! I am originally from Chicago but moved to Des Moines IA 10 years ago and Every time I visit my family in Chicago, I HAVE to come! The sauce is delicious, very good portions, the tortillas uffff, the service is wonderful, the ladies always have a smile and everything is very clean! 100% recommended!
