Service and cozy American diner atmosphere are the highlights of this restaurant for me. Our waitress was always checking in on us and refilling our drinks. The sandwich I had was just alright but the menu and serving sizes are vast. I'm sure anyone can find something that'll satisfy their cravings.

I hate to have to write this because my family and I have been coming here for years, and the service and food have always been great. Unfortunately, I placed a pickup order during my lunch break and did not have a good experience.

I purchased two Caba’s, and both were burned. The chicken was tough, but I tried to enjoy it. However, the pita was completely inedible and burned so badly that I couldn’t eat the sandwich. The bread was tough like a crackers and the entire sandwich fell apart because it broke in half when I tried closing it to bite. I called to explain the issue. The young lady who answered the phone was kind, as she always is, but Niko was extremely rude. I offered to send a picture, but he declined, saying he doesn’t give out his personal number (not sure why there isn't a business email for customers). His only solution was for me to bring the sandwich back so they could remake it. I explained that I had to return to work and that the restaurant would be closed by the time I got off, since they were closing in the next hour and a half. His response, in a very nasty tone, was essentially: “What am I supposed to do, give you a new sandwich after you ate the other one?”

I even offered to bring the sandwich back the next day, since it was too burned to eat (especially for $17). Honestly, I wouldn’t have served this to anyone. After that call, I was so disappointed and disgusted that I don’t even care to return it; I’d rather toss it and not experience anymore bad service.

If Niko sees this, I hope he at least apologizes and treats the next customer with more kindness. People can always choose to go elsewhere. I’ve been a repeat customer because the staff has always been so nice, but this experience was truly disheartening

Great food, I had the Buffalo chicken skillet and shared a couple of pancakes. All was very good. It was pretty busy, service was good, friendly and our food was delivered shortly after ordering. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant for sitting down or ordering out. The free soup with every sandwich is a huge bonus. Good bang for the buck!

Downtown Forest Park looks like a town designed like many others, with both sides of the street lined with cute shops old and new. One of these awning covered shops is Madison Park Kitchen.

We made a reservation for a larger group. However, we arrived first (we stayed in downtown Chicago), found parking on the street (easy to do on a Sunday morning) and was seated pretty promptly.

The rest of our party were all arriving separately and took a while to arrive. The restaurant seated us in the middle of the place and kept walking by eyeing us trying to see if our party was arriving soon. I think we waited nearly half and hour for our friends to show. That was embarrassing on our part, but was annoying for the restaurant as they were busy and we were taking up three tables.

Our group finally arrived and then it took the restaurant nearly thirty minutes to take our order. They were busy and I think annoyed that our group took so long to arrive.

For the most part, everyone ordered traditional breakfast items: omelets, scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. One person ordered lunch. I ordered the waffle with bacon and sausage. It was good.

Everyone thought their food was good and despite the owners speaking curtly with our table, our server was friendly and offered suggestions.

It's a cute breakfast spot like any other in any other suburb. Their food was good, coffee mugs and soda cups constantly full. If we lived in the area, we'd dine here often.

So if you're looking for breakfast, look no further. They got what you want, but if you're a little late, be prepared for the sideways glances and curt attitude from the owners.

Monie was an amazing server , and made a great impression on my daughter today. She is bubbly and happy to engage with the customers. The entire staff cooks and serves with love and a purpose to make each patron feel special. I ordered a Sante fe chicken skillet with crispy hashbrowns. It was a great meal with amazing flavors. My daughter ordered the #1 for breakfast. We will be returning to this restaurant with our entire family because, we were treated like family while dining. Thanks again to Monie!!!
