I had an extremely poor experience at this location this morning. I used the McDonald’s app to generate a reward for a free medium fry with purchase. The code was generated by the app, yet the drive-thru employee told me the code was “invalid” and insisted I refresh the app, even after I explained that doing so would force me to wait 15 minutes to use another reward.

I pulled forward to show them the app and the code directly. The manager came over, confirmed that the code was from the app, and still refused to honor the reward or offer any resolution. Both the employee and manager were rude, dismissive, and offered zero customer service.

When a company’s app malfunctions, customers should not be punished for it especially when they can clearly show the valid reward. This experience was frustrating and made me uncomfortable, to the point where I questioned how my food was handled.

I will not be returning to this location.

I live near this location so it is my most frequent. The drive-through is always pretty slow when it comes to taking your order at the speaker and I would say without exaggeration, my order is right about half of the time. When the order is incorrect, they almost always forget something or put the wrong item in the bag. The fries are also ALWAYS cold here and they don’t put salt on them.

It was just some of the worst customers service I've experienced in a while. Make sure you count your change and check your order. The burgers were just as salty as the fries.

I got a small French vanilla latte and it was quite possible the worst latte I’ve ever gotten from McDonald’s. Was highly disappointed. To add onto to the inconvenience it took a good 20 minutes to get my order in the morning. Don’t come anytime after 6:30am if you want to be in and out.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. This McDonald's is in walking distance and I avoid this location because of the poor customer service. Tonight I was hungry and didn't feel like driving to a different McDonald's so I walked up there. I arrived at 850pm trying to enter the lobby and all the doors are locked. I walked around the building trying every door and they were all locked. I saw an employee mopping in the lobby so I knocked on the door and he look annoyed. I asked him why the doors are locked and the lobby closes at 9pm and he ignored me. I kept knocking on the door and he finally sent me back to the first set of doors i initially tried. Upon opening the doors him and the cashier looked annoyed. I asked them both again why are the doors locked when the lobby does not close until 9pm. Had I known they close the doors early I would have drove instead of walking.

I tried to keep my cool because i was annoyed because they became annoyed with me trying to order food. I placed my order with the cashier then provided him with the app code and he screwed up putting the code then tried to play it off by charging me the incorrect price. When my phone refreshed to provide him with the code again it stated I had already used the code. I was even more frustrated because he accused me of using the code. I told him he used the and put it in incorrectly now I can't use the app code. I'm already annoyed and irritated so I asked to speak to a manager. He went to get a manger. Im was witnessed the entire conversation she avoided coming over to talk to me then sent another employee so now I'm even more upset.

The kind employee was able to resolve my issue and retieved the code indicating i had not used the code thankful because I was seconds from going off. This location has the tendency to upset customers then we look bad when we react. The hours of operation states on the door the lobby is open until 9pm. Don't get upset with me because I wanted to place an order. I walked up there of course I'm upset with the customer service and the dismissive manager who made no effort to speak to me but sent another employee instead. This place is horrible and that's exactly why thw reviews are so low. For this to be a suburban McDonald's they treat their customers like very poorly. The village of forest park needs to investigate this location due to the poor customer services

I came in and i was the only only one at the counter, i proceeded to place and pay for my order on the computer on the floor still waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledge me i wanted to leave however i had already paid for my order ,the woman behind the counter (short Hispanic older lady)was not friendly did not speak to me i felt like i was an inconvenience i believe she didn't want to be there NO good customer service at all , i ordered a large fry and a icecream cone and my fries was just as cold as the icecream, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS McDonald's. PS this is not the fisrt time this has happened.

I went through drive thru around 8AM and there was a old lady w a orange shirt that was taking my order she wasn't understanding me and was taking my time and giving me attitude and I just wanted some breakfast burritos, this Mc Donald's has bad crew members especially sum girl that gives attitude with glasses and they give me cold food more in the afternoon

I stopped at the McDonald’s on Madison & Desplains this morning (August 17th around 10:14 AM). I pulled off from the drive-thru and went to the McDonald’s on Madison & Taylor instead, because the service here was just that bad.

The first window was closed, so I went to the second one. As I tried to explain that, the worker with glasses and curly dark brown hair in a ponytail…. immediately started questioning me instead of just helping. Rather than taking my payment and moving forward, she kept going back and forth with me in a negative, argumentative way.

I apologized and explained nicely that I didn’t see anyone at the first window. Instead of saying “no problem, I can take care of it here,” she kept pushing the issue. That’s unnecessary and unprofessional. Customers shouldn’t feel like they have to pull off without their food just to avoid dealing with an attitude.

McDonald’s workers need to remember not to bring personal energy to work. A simple apology or willingness to help goes a long way. No one should lose business because staff would rather argue with paying customers than provide decent service.

Personally some of the rudest most disrespectful workers. The cookies tasted horrible and my food never comes out hot. In regards to the workers they are rude and make out of pocket comments. The girl who hands out the food is rude and doesnt check the bag and I have missing items.
