I came from San Francisco to visit a friend and was interested in trying out a cozy neighborhood pub. This place gave me 'Cheers' vibes (loved the banter between the patrons and the proprietor) we got the BLT which was super tasty. Non-pretentious, good food-drinks + relaxed ambiance…just what we were searching for!

What a great find. This little local bar is amazing. The owner/bartender/waiter/cook is unbelievable. The locals there were do welcoming and genuine. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was even better. If your ever in Chicago please stop and pay a visit. You won't be disappointed

Food is good. Don't get the owner of the restaurant as your server. He was very impatient and rude and my partner had to pay double of what we actually ordered. We tipped regardless. Wouldn't recommend.

It's an old fashioned neighborhood sports bar. I was pleased that after asking several times, they are adding some vegan food. During this last visit, they had a delicious lentil and fennel soup!

Love this place - cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere with truly excellent food, a great rotating beer menu, and very reasonable prices. There are often games or music on, but never so loud that you can't have a conversation. All of the food we've tried has been delicious! Never once had a bad dish or experience! We stopped in on a whim for lunch and quickly became regulars after tasting the burgers, rustic potato salad, and brussel sprouts. There are different daily food specials and a surprising list of high-end options (e.g. Wagyu beef burgers, lamb dip, Mediterranean mushroom sandwich) for such a casual setting. The staff is great, the chef is on point, the beers are frosty, and the meatloaf dinner on Thursday is worth a special visit. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have a great meal, a cold drink, and a conversation, I can't recommend the Old School Tavern enough.
