O'Sullivan's Public House

I've driven by this place at least 1,000 times, said I'd go in and never quite made it until now. This is a nice spot, good crowd for the Saturday college football games, a few tables in the bar area, most of which were occupied. The real gem though was the beer garden. Quaint, very clean and nicely decorated. I sat out there watched a game while noshing on a perfectly grilled Ruben with tots. I would have tried the spirits, but I had people to see, places to go, things to do and couldn't indulge, next time. The menu? Lots of options above and beyond the usual bar fare and it all looked delish. My server was attentive and I apologize that I can't remember her name. Check it out, it's on my repeat AMAP (as much as possible).

Great burners.

I was here recently for my sister's birthday party event in the beer garden. My first time at this bar though I lived in Oak Park for many years. There were about 25 in our group but there was also another party sharing the outdoor section which made it a little cramped. Don't think we were told another party would be there...?

Food consisted of 'bar bites': mini sliders, mini pulled pork, wings, cheese quesadillas, chicken wings, chicken tenders & salad. Although food was kept in warming trays, everything was cold by the time we started eating. Mini burgers were hard and no condiments (ketchup or mustard) were placed on table.
Someone had ordered a regular cheeseburger w/fries and noticed some mold on the bun.

Our server for the night was excellent though. She worked hard to accommodate everyone and serve drinks. The tab on this event was overpriced for what you get. With so many beer gardens/bars in the area, I can't recommend this place for parties and/or food.

The patio tonight had 8 or so mice running around. The food was good, the service too, so if you can get over the rodents, it's the place for you. Our server had a bit of a rodent jump scare as she dodged the mice.

Love this place! Great local color feel right in the center of Forest Park. Good food, great staff, and great drinks make this an outstanding neighborhood bar.

It was my first time there I will never be back. The server took more than a half an hour to get to me people after me got their food before I even got a water or drink while the owners sat there notice me and carried down conversation as he did not care nobody cared about customer service nobody cared about the person waiting, which is the customer. The food …. 10 hours later potato skins were just potato skins nothing special in the poor boy sandwich was horrible. Do not order. I will never be back and you must know some money to maybe get service or good food to have some type of experience here. Do not go not worth it
