My wife and I love coming here for ice cream, and it is exceptional. We have been coming here for years now. We love bringing out of town family and friends here whenever we can especially after a lunch or dinner in forest park.
Again, their ice cream is exceptional, but after trying a cake for the first time we found it highly disappointing. For the price we expected a better cake. I would recommend going elsewhere for a better price and quality for an ice cream cake.

Brown Cow Ice Cream Parlor in Forest Park offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a variety of ice cream options that kids will love. The staff is welcoming, and the waffle cones are a highlight. It’s also a great spot for birthday parties and group celebrations. While prices are a bit higher and summer lines can be long, the quality and experience make it a worthwhile visit for families in the area.

I went in yesterday and saw no vegan options, but I decided to ask the staff anyway. It turned out they had four vegan flavors that they weren’t displaying (pumpkin, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry).
The Brown Cow is a staple in Forest Park. I've been going here since I was a kid. Their ice cream is worth every penny. They make their ice cream in house and its all organic. A true Gem in FP. Please give them a try if you get the chance! ◡̎

Before I say what I need to say, please let me just acknowledge that I really don't want to complain... I know it's just kids working there and probably their first job...but 15mins to make a single scoop sundae and a milkshake?!..they left our milkshake behind the counter while they took other customers orders and the milkshake was basically chocolate milk by the time they gave it to us. I also walked in with my service dog who was in a bag not a leash and was told that dogs are not allowed inside...without asking if my dog was a service animal first. All in all I think the staff needs further training

I’ve been going here since I was a kid! Always love it here. From the Root Beer floats, to the malt shakes and all the fun ice cream flavors - this place has something for everyone.
They even have a collaboration with Kribi Coffee for an ice cream flavor. Already been here a ton, but I will definitely continue coming back.
Everyone is always so kind when I go in as well! :-)
Vegetarian options: It’s ice cream. ☺️ So it’s pretty much all vegetarian.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a very family-geared place. ?

Very disappointed. My son was not able to redeem his birthday treat because we were not able to celebrate on the actual day. Most companies offer at least 30 days to redeem. Very sad for a company that should be all about celebrating our kids.

This place is expensive, but the ice cream is top quality, which does not make me hesitate to pay the cost of it. However, when employees are incompetent, I do have a problem with that. I came in after visiting a week ago, and brought my father-in-law with his brother and my family. We ordered what we had ordered last time we were in, as well as two more orders. Both my father-in-law and I ordered double scoop in a cup. He received his order correctly, while I received my order squeezed into a kiddie cup. I was confused and explained that I had ordered a double scoop. The boy taking the order insist that it was a double scoop. When I pointed to the to-go cup it is served in, he looked at me with annoyance and said fine. I waited for my order just to have him come back and had placed it in a single cup. At this point I was too annoyed to deal with this server any further. And ate my $10 ice cream that was portioned as a $6 ice cream. You could keep the $4 tip.

This place always hit and it’s an absolute problem living down the block from it. I personally blame them for being the fatty I am but I won’t stop going.
