I mean it's burgers and shakes, from the east coast I'd never had ot before. It was good better than McDonalds and BK for about the same price. Recommend for fast food.

Was HORRIBLE! BURGERS WERE BRIGHT RED AND UNDERCOOKED. CHILI 5 WAY ONLY HAD BEANS AND A FEW NOODLES. BREAD FOR FRISCO MELT WAS BARELY COOKED AND MOOSHY WITH GREASE. AND THERE WAS NO SILVERWARE, NAPKINS, CRACKERS , OR PARMESAN IN THE BAG. UNREAL!

Orders were wrong (two burgers that came without the toppings added, cookie dough shake with Extra cookie dough is only 4 cookie dough pieces, apparently) atmosphere isn’t there, workers not replacing gloves when alternating tasks, Major attitude problems.

Food is not what it used to be, there was 2 of us and 2 other people in dining area. It's hard to eat on plastic dish and with plastic utensils. Not my favorite anymore.
There is nothing remarkable about this restaurant. Food, service, and atmosphere were all average.

They clearly had a sick employee that should not been there or handling people’s food coughing sneezing and sniffling the whole time no mask on just spreading germs yet the managers were ok with that I would never patron this business ever again

I haven't been here in a few years and was surprised that now there are no menus, you order food on a kiosk up by the counter instead of a waitress/waiter taking orders at the table, which makes things a bit difficult when you have a family with kids and a disabled adult to order for. Upon placing our order, one of the people in our group had ordered a fountain drink and wasn't aware that there is a qr code on the receipt to scan to unlock the machine. He went to the counter to ask about it and the guy was very rude about telling him what he needed to do to work the fountain. Honestly, there is NO real service anymore other than actually cooking the food, and the rudness at a simple question was ridiculous. They then served the chili COLD. The kiosk asks if you want to leave a tip, why the heck would I ever want to leave a tip for ZERO table service, rude employees, wnd cold food?

My family and I stopped going to steak 'n shake 5 years ago after my then 3-year-old was given extremely undercooked chicken tenders. All of the local steak 'n shakes had gone downhill. However, my in-laws took both of my kids to our local steak 'n shake a few months back and since then we have been weekly visitors of the establishment. Not only has the management gotten exponentially better, but the food quality and overall presentation has been top-notch!
