The Frankfort, IL location is true to the legacy of the Harold’s Chicken brand in taste and service. It is my go to for 4 wings with hot and mild sauce and they never forget the cole slaw! Bravo!

I usually go to the Harold's in Matteson, which is good. However, I was surprised when I saw this location was a bit closer to my home. I was pretty nervous about trying it because the reviews were not the best. Let me tell you.... I'm glad I did. The chicken was a little more expensive, but worth it! Their seasoning was on point! I ordered 6 wings with mild sauce and lemon pepper. I had plenty of mild sauce, food was ready when promised, slaw was included without asking and there was no fee to use a cc like indicated in another comment. I kid you not, food was delicious I will definitely be back!

Do not go to this Harold’s Chicken in Frankfort. They were no fries and coleslaw with the order. The chicken was cold and dried out. I called the restaurant about my order and the waitress Brianna hung up on me. I will never go back to this Harold’s Chicken!!

I hate leaving bad reviews. But I used to eat Harold’s all the time when I lived in the city. Happy they opened in Frankfort, I wanted to go back on a regular basis. But Every time I order they are extremely late….. Last time I ordered. Guy said 15 minutes. Fine. I show up 10 minutes later. Guy says 10 more minutes. Fine, no biggie. Then I set there for another 20 minutes. I finally lost my cool and walked out. Sorry but never going there again.

Don’t go there, it is a bad experience. The decor is depressing. The staff is not friendly. They add on a fee of 3.99% on to the menu price if you don’t pay cash. And they are not really that reasonable for what you get anyway let alone add additional fees on. They do not have a readable menu posted where you can clearly see it. The chicken tenders are NOT tender but rubbery. And not eatable. They did not include the coleslaw that was suppose to come with the meals and was paid for on both meals and offered no resolution when we called and told them. They did not include butter for the slice of white bread they count as part of the meals. They do not give you any sauce for the tenders. They do not give you tarter sauce for the fish dinner. They do not include napkins or forks or wipes. If I could give 0 stars I would have. What a waste of my money and now I have nothing to eat for dinner.

Fried chicken legs were not cooked through; light colored blood was seen when pulled skin and meat off the bone. Did not receive napkins or utensils for fries and cole slaw. Customer service was decent. Would not come back again, especially after paying $16 for a 1/2 dark and a mystic. Prefer the downtown Joliet location…much better.

I’ve ordered from this location 4 times each time hoping it was just a flukes that my food was over cooked and had the taste of burnt grease. My food is alway burnt chicken and fried. My clothes even has a burnt smell after leaving there. Will not be returning.

I hate to do this but come on man! After reading all the reviews I just didn't believe it could be that bad. Despite the reviews my wife and I decided to get some fried catfish fillet meals to go last week. First off, they gave us about 2 oz of mild sauce for each meal. Took about 25 minutes to get the order. Second, the fish was so gelatin like I told my wife to throw in the oven for 10 more minutes cause we thought it wasn't fully cooked. After tasting it, she decided to leave 10 more minutes. Once we realized it wasn't due to it being undercooked, we tried eating it anyway but had to throw it away. Ate the bread and fries only. I don't know what they used but were pretty confident it wasn't catfish. It's a shame but will not eat there again.
21 minute wait and $11.80 for 2 small pieces of chicken. Food was decent, but you can get better chicken faster and cheaper at Popeye's.

1st time patronizing this establishment and I was very pleased. Customer service was good and the food ( including the fries ) was still hot after a 14 minute drive home and another 5 -7 minute stop at another location . Will definitely stop in again if in the area. I did appreciate that they had Saturday lunch specials . ??

Placed a pick up order, arrived 10 minutes later than the estimated time. I was ignored for 10 minutes. Then they said they were bagging my order. After 45 minutes they said we don’t have your order in the system but they charged me when I arrived. Horrible customer service. There were kids running around the kitchen also.

Ordered 50 piece over phone. Showed up when I was told it would be ready. Still took another 20 minutes. Rang up $20 higher than their website said!! When I pointed it out they said sorry it's gone up a bunch of times. I questioned why they wouldn't say that when someone orders by phone and I was told that she assumed I knew. How would I know that? I'm pretty sure it's illegal to charge more than advertised and it wasn't even by a little bit! The restaurant was filled with smoke and my clothes smelled when I left.It's a shame because the food was really good. Two stars for that. But I will NEVER go back and I feel something should be done about the charges.
