The ole' fries with brisket was absolutely delicious!
Loved the BBQ sauce!
We had a wonderful time at my daughter's wedding shower. Everyone enjoyed the food & drinks. The room was perfect so pretty. All of the employees we’re attentive and friendly and so helpful!
I had my wedding shower in the downstairs area of Trails Edge. It was absolutely beautiful!! The bistro lights added the perfect touch to the decor and vibe of the space. Jackie, the event coordinator, was amazing working with my mom on different food and drink options. My mom had nothing but great things to say about how patient and kind Jackie was to work with and how she felt she was very honest in choosing packages. For the event itself, we had Tyler and Katie (sorry if I am spelling it wrong) serving us. They were so present and actively moving around to ensure we always had food, drink, or whatever else was needed at the time. I am so thankful to Trail's Edge, I could not have pictured a better shower! :)
Fish and chips (waitress said they were like classic British fish and chips) were literally potato chips instead of fries small sad pieces of cod that were soggy on the bottom from excessive grease. Steak was ordered med rare and came out very well done. Seasonal vegetable cup was 90% steamed onions. As a family of 4 with 6 drinks our meal came out to over $200. $240 with a tip. Expensive for very mediocre food. We were trying to find someone nice for a father day lunch but will definitely pass on this option next year. The atmosphere was cute, outdoor seating was nice. Food just completely missed the mark.
This place is a must visit if you are in or near downtown Frankfort. We hosted my son and future daughter-in-law’s bridal shower there yesterday and it was truly amazing. The downstairs room provides a magical setting with all of the lights. The food was delicious and everyone there did an amazing job. Jackie was everywhere, making sure the whole party ran very smoothly!
Great beer good food . Awesome staff. Great place to chill .
great place and great beer.
Parties are great to have there ! We all had the best time , the food was awesome, served perfectly at a great exactly what I wanted for a brunch shower Jackie is the best to work with , I really wouldn’t have a party any where else
As i got in the restaurant at 7:30 pm, a waitress threatened me and my husband that we are not going to get any dinner unless we head to the buffet right away. We even barely greeted anyone including the celebrant. I asked her why they were packing the food away this early. She said that they could not have a food out for more than 2 hours. The event stared at 6 pm. I have attended a lot of events and we were not treated like this. The entire party was disrespected and the celebrant got very embarrassed as some of the guests were not able to eat. The party composed mostly of health care professionals who showed up a little late due to work. This is not acceptable. The food was great but i will not recommend this place because of how they treated their guests. Big disappointment.

DO NOT HOST A PRIVATE EVENT HERE.
We rented out their downstairs event space to host a birthday party for 50 people. As previously agreed upon with our site contact (Jackie), we had the space from 6-10pm with dinner service starting at 6:30pm. The buffet dinner was served on full-size hotel pans promptly at 6:30pm but taken away before anyone could get another plate. There was still a lot of food leftover that was not given to us at the end of the night.
At 8:50pm the servers informed us that last call for the bar was at 9pm. This confused the hosts as our previous agreement was that we had the space until 10pm. This was especially shocking since our servers had knowledge about last call and should have informed us of this information before the event start or even earlier in the evening. This led guests to rush to the bar and others went upstairs to purchase drinks from the main restaurant bar.
Unfortunately, at 9:10pm we were told to wrap up our party. Before we could give our guests a proper send-off while they enjoyed the last sips of their drinks, the servers started taking away the water glasses from the tables that guests were sitting at. We essentially paid for a 3-hour event that could have been hosted anywhere else that would not have kicked us out.
I DO NOT recommend hosting a private event here.
Awesome place in downtown Frankfort! Really tasty beers during my visit. Very popular place, very full of diners and drinkers. Didn't eat there, so that's on my to-do list for a future visit. Parking was difficult, but it was the Christmas season!

The sweet potato fries are a little strange with the sugar seasoning on them. I wish it was optional. And the marshmallow sauce stuff that they give you is weird. I really liked the Mac and cheese and the burger was good. The scallops are also really good. Loved the beer!
Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger they can be paired with any of their toppings offered for the burgers

I love this place. There is a perfect blend of atmosphere, service and great food. The menu isn't huge, and that's a good thing. There is a fine selection of smoked entrees/apps, pizzas, build a burger or finer entrees. What is served is consistently excellent.
Service is warm and greeting, with a true desire to please diners. You can regularly see management helping out and monitoring service standards.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention an excellent selection of in-house beers. There is a wide flavor profile to satisfy any beer enthusiast.
If you are looking for a spot to have a party, there is ample banquet facilities here as well.
This place is always my go-to when I am entertaining friends and family.

I recommend getting a reservation for Saturday night if you don't want to wait. The vibe and decor was quite nice. We got a bowl of jambalaya, a blue cheese burger, and sweet potato fries. The jambalaya was okay, my husband was very pleased with his burger and beer. The sweet potato fries were very good, they're seasoned with cinnamon and come with a marshmallow dip so really it was like dessert.
