Supposedly they moved to Addison. Mostly good food but they got pricey, even BEFORE inflation and covid. Aranchini is the star of the show as many know. Not long ago they were $1.50 now it's more like $4. We used to buy 20, we don't any more. Will try the Lake St location one day though.

So sad to see this place close, was by far the best place for arancini and panzerottis!

I want to say I am disappointed that they aren’t opening up their own location, instead a collaboration with Mario’s deli. Romanos was a place where families would come and enjoy themselves and in a sense felt like a community and family. They would have karaoke nights, wine and paint, and more . and overall I always felt like family whenever I would come here and the owners were amazing. Food was outstanding and fresh. Now that they are in collaboration with Mario’s deli, it’s not the same unfortunately. They close so early on the weekends seriously? We miss you guys. Come back!!! Open up your own location please :(

Verrryy disappointed and sad. An end of an era. Originally I thought that il Romano would be moving to Mario’s deli having a seperate restraunt inside. Unfortunately, Mario’s deli just sells their items and they look old and unappetizing. Sad because Me and my family would go to romanos ALL the time and they’re food, service, ambiance, and owners are amazing food was always fresh and great but unfortunately their items are sold at Mario’s deli. I walked in Mario’s deli and it’s dirty, and their food looks unapettising. It looks like the arancini have been sitting in the case for days. This is nothing on il romanos part, but Mario’s deli. They are not representing il romanos the way they should. Il romano please open up a seperate restraunt again we miss you!

Unfortunately they're temporarily closed as they lost their lease in the building on Franklin Avenue. They closed at this location on June 28th. The owners have reassured me that they are searching for a suitable location and will reopen as soon as possible

Are they still open? It say they are temporarily closed, if so when will they reopen?

Fantastic arancini! Super good service. They take Covid measures pretty seriously which of course I respect but at the same time I can't wait til they go back to normal cause it's a great place for authentic southern Italian casual food.

ordered takeout . Masks required to enter. Cook had mask, but "owner"(?) wasn't wearing a mask. Phoned order in and all was correct! very Reasonable prices !! ordered Greek , Mediterranean salads, egg plant sandwich, Ravioli with meat sauce. Salad dressings served in individual packets . the Ravioli wasn't my order but I tasted the sauce, VERY GOOD. The others also said the egg plant parmesan sandwich was good . for 3 salads, sandwich and Ravioli, out bill was $34+ change . Always always leave a tip for takeout !

Having experienced Authentic Margarita Pizza while in Sicily, Romano's Margarita Pizza was damn near close. I will definitely go back again real soon.

10/10 recommend My husband and I had a sweet tooth and he loves tiramisu. We looked up Italian spots in our neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Most places are okay but Il Romano was spectacular! We ordered Nutella Panzerotto, Tiramisu, and a lemon Italian ice. Everything was to die for! My new go to spot. It was a little late for coffee but can't wait to try their coffee next time. Owners are authentic Italian with old movies in Italian playing on the TV. No wonder the recipes came out so great! We will be back Grazie Mile

My family has been coming to Romano's for years and we don't live that close. It is worth the drive! They have the most amazing arancini, pizza, cannolis, panzerotti, you name it. And you can't beat the prices on these quality Italian eats! They also have a wonderful caprese salad that is always so fresh. Everyone needs to check this place out, you will not be disappointed.
