The food was good. However, I am leaving a one-star review due to the service. We were seated all the way in the back, and as a person of color, the experience felt discriminatory. When we left the restaurant, we thanked the server and did not receive any response, which further added to the negative experience. And I saw another similar review and I can attest that my group went at two separate times and got different servers and still got sat in the back.

Food was alright, but I felt unwanted and a bit ostracized. My group was sat all the way in the back near the bathrooms. It felt like everyone was just staring at us like animals at a zoo.

Don't let the toilets dissuade you! The food here is great. Can definitely recommend the patty melt and onion rings. And they give you a big side salad. The fried gulf shrimp are also good. The service is friendly and great. The place is whimsical and family friendly but also has a great bar.

UPDATE To clarify: yes, after being refused a seat despite explaining my epilepsy and showing service dog documentation, and after being spoken to aggressively by you, I reacted emotionally and used inappropriate language. That said, this situation could have been handled professionally. If there was an issue with another animal, it could have been explained calmly with an apology instead of yelling at me to leave. Disabilities are not always visible, and this experience was handled poorly. I still do not recommend this establishment to those with any disabilities. 😘
Didn’t even get to eat. I have a service dog for my epilepsy and the server would not sit me assuming I’m not disabled because I’m not in a wheelchair. I have epilepsy and showed her the paperwork but when i showed it to her she got angry with me because she was wrong. Don’t go here if you are disabled.

I hear great things. Good atmosphere nice staff. Wife got garlic shrimp and I got a rueben and added a fried egg. Food was good... missing flavor. Even with the shrimp in butter it needed salt. The sweet potato fries come unsalted (im not a fan of salt but it needed it) my rueben was pretty good but lacking something. The fried egg helped but it also had no flavor to the egg. Like they have it all but its short of flavor. Hope they fix this. The loaded potato soup by far was delicious compared to the food. I see others bring ip the same thing.

Fun, irreverent decor makes this a worthwhile stop. The staff is friendly, and the menu features no surprises. It was a decent stop for lunch halfway through our trip through downtown Galena.
This place was a hoot!! As you walk in there are 3 toilets in the foyer with a sign about who those are for...you walk into the dining area and are greeted with another toilet that is where suggestions and complaints go!!
The atmosphere was very casual with great memorabilia on the walls and even a photobooth of sorts...see photo!!
Everything was terrific except the food. I ordered a burger that sounded scrumptious and looked even better, but was very bland. My family all ordered different items from the menu and all agreed that it needed to be more flavorful!!

Food was great except for the Grouper. Guess that's what I get for ordering seafood in Wisconsin. Our waitress from California was awesome. The specialty drinks were phenomenal. Would recommend this place to everyone (just don't order the Grouper).
