Went out for our last dinner during our stay in Galena, chose Durty Gurt’s. Got seated right away, Jeanette (sp) was our waitress, took our drink orders really quickly, got our food orders in and our food came out super fast. All of our food was hot and terrific, I got a bowl of chili to start that was just delicious. My tombstone burger and sweet potato waffle fries were really done well.
This has been a regular Friday dinner spot for our annual Galena trip for a number of years.\n\nGreat burgers. Large selection of burgers. The regular fries are amongst the best we have had. Casual atmosphere. Good beer selection. Friendly service. Sweet potato fries are wonderful. In October, 2025, they were serving a killer pumpkin shake.
We decided to visit based on the great reviews and fun photos of the restaurant. The service was great. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We had a spill and they were quick to come help clean it up kindly. Food was ok. None of us loved the food except for the shakes and I felt it was overpriced. Overall, it was an ok experience.
