What a great place to stop for delicious food and friendly service. Had breakfast here... Denver Omelet with hash browns and toast. Perfectly done. Coffee was smooth and hot. We will stop in again next time we are in the area.

Was here last Saturday. Down home family style restaurant. Ordered a veggie skillet with toast. Arrived within a short wait.
Eggs were cooked perfect and veggies were sautéed to perfection.
My friends also enjoyed their breakfast dishes. Blueberry pancakes and meat filled omelet.
Will definitely revisit next time up in Galena, IL. Highly recommend if you want a good meal without added unnecessary frills.
Btw... Our waitress was very pleasant...

All the times that I have been in Emmy Lou's Cafe I have NOT ONCE Had a bad experience The food was excellent as always. I get the meat lover skillet and I love it. The coffee is always hot, The water was not nasty like somebody else has said. The Soda is Not flat. And the wait staff is very personable And very attentive.I was just in there today and The waitress was named Jody And she was A top notch waitress. I very highly recommend this establishment.
