Great options of wines and good ambience!
This was our first time at this tasting room. The bartenders were friendly and polite. The brut rose was very tasty! The live music was an added bonus. For 7pm on a Saturday night, the bar wasn’t overly crowded. A good spot for date night.
Expansive winery with food, wine tastings, and cocktails. You can choose 3 wines to sample from a helpful list that goes from dry to dessert and it includes seasonal wines as well. If you end up buying a few bottles, they even pack them into a sturdy tote for the drive home! For a sweeter wine lover, I recommend the Wedding Cake and the Eldeweiss but if you like a dryer red, my mom enjoyed the Marquette. 10/10 place for some good wine!
We’ve been coming here for years & are never disappointed. They have a ton of options for all types of wine lovers, and more recently expanded their menu to be a full kitchen! The food was INCREDIBLE & the wine is amazing as always. We love coming here & leaving with many bottles to share with friends and family.
Good wine but slow service.
Today my wife and I decided to stop in and try a tasting because we had read good thing about the wine. It started out good but ended up taking forever...A 7 pour tasting should never take an hour an forty minutes.
We kept getting ignored by the staff. People who showed up after us kept getting served before us.
Good wine but poor service.
I stood at the bar for 15 minutes and did not get greeted once.
The two bartenders continuously walked past me (doing their jobs for other customers), and not once did either of them look at me or acknowledge me.

Wife said it was one of the worst wines ever.
My family and I had a wonderful lunch in their beautiful upstairs dining area. The menu was filled with mouth-watering choices far from normal fare. I was thrilled to see a section of plant-based servings with unique and unexpected food combinations, and so delicious ! We had a variety of dishes and everyone enjoyed their choices! The staff was knowledgeable, efficient, and accommodating. I ended up leaving a vintage jacket at the restaurant but didn't notice until I returned home to New Orleans a few days later. When I called, they had my jacket and offered to mail it to me, and did! I would give them additional stars if I could! Thank you, Galena Cellars Winery!
Gorgeous vegan fun food!
Nice atmosphere and good food. You have to go up and order your food and wine. Extremely limited selection of canned beer and no cold glasses. A bit pricey ($22 for a roast beef au jus sandwich and chips).

One of my must-dos whenever I'm in town! I love the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, the wine is great, and the food is delicious!
The wine flights are awesome...and the folks working there are great. Late Harvest GEWURZTRAMINER!!!
On a recent visit to downtown Galena we decided to walk around and visit the various shops on a visit to see our son for his 21st birthday. Since we are members of Coopers Hawk we decided to give this place a try and see how their wines were.
The person taking care of us for our sample selection poured the wines in the order that as she explained would best fit the flavor profiles from sweet to dry. It's nice when you have someone that knows what the winery produces to give you the best experience. On two of the wines she recommended this little circle of chocolate to compliment the wine and it was a spot on recommendation. If your in the area and like wine, this is a great place to stop.
We had a great time doing a tasting here. They have a long list of wines and all that I tried were quality. We had great conversation with the woman pouring for our tasting (I forgot her name!). They also have a bar and food which we went to go lunch. Good was delicious. Definitely will be back here on our next Galena trip!
Very disappointed in my first time visit. The location itself is great but a bit of a confusing layout. Wine tasting is upstairs with the restaurant downstairs. Firstly, my tasting was more of a small tiny sip of each wine of my choosing. It indicates 1/2 oz pours and I got less than a teaspoon of each and it was very clear the person pouring seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I do like that they let you pick any from the list including wine club members exclusives. It was strange that some options for wine clubs members only are very basic options most wineries offer without having to be a member. Most of their wines seemed sweeter but they do have a smaller selection of dryer/bolder reds. It was also very busy and they only had one checkout so the wait time was very long. Be prepared during busier times! Disappointed as the other reviews rave about this place. We unfortunately had a very different experience from most.
