Take it from me...you NEED this breakfast. I had the buttermilk waffles that was unbelievable!! There were multiple gluten free options. But make sure to take their homemade Pot Tart - so amazing! I wish I could take 10 home but the limit is 2.

Stopped in for Breakfast, were seated quickly even without a reservation, server took our drink orders right away, asked about food allergies offered us their daily special and helpful suggestions to help decide. Food arrived right away, looked and tasted fantastic.

Having tried to eat breakfast there on several occasions, we knew we had to get there early. Even made a reservation for 8:30 on Monday morning, just to be sure. My wife and I were the first ones there on 10/27/2025. Walked in just minutes after they opened. We were immediately greeted by several of the staff. Led us to our table on the second floor and seated us at a window table at the front of the building. Our server was charming and personable. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, opting for just one biscuit (I know my limitations). B&G is my usual order in the morning if we are eating out. That being said, Otto's has the 2nd-best B&G I have ever tasted (no one can beat Momma's cooking!). And in all my experiences, the only server who ever asked if I wanted hot sauce (everyone knows you use hot sauce with your B&G). She won my heart after that! My wife? She was unable to finish her plate due to the serving size. 99% of the time, I am one with food left on my plate, asking, "Excuse me, but can I have a box, please?" To top it off, although willing to pay the full price for the B&G with two biscuits, I was surprised to see I was only charged half price for the one biscuit on the check. I know I might have rambled, but Otto's has won our loyalty. P.S., we stayed at a B&B that offered a Continental Breakfast. So glad we chose Otto's! We will be back again! So, if you don't want to wait in line, go on Monday morning, when it first opens! You will not be disappointed!

Had lunch at Durty Gurt's. Reasonably priced, good food and a fun atmosphere. Will be our go-to Galena restaurant. Located on the north end of Main St. with slightly better parking options.

This is my second time eating at Ottos and I can’t wait for my next visit. I highly recommend visiting! The food is high quality, delicious, and full of flavor. I ordered the smothered burrito and the iced chai. The burrito was very enjoyable but I could only eat about half of it. The chai tea was so good! The spices and sweetness really stood out but were well balanced. We parked down the street. There were four of us and we made a reservation, so there was no wait. Service was quick and friendly. There were plenty of others eating at the same time, but it was easy to talk and hear each other. It’s a clean, cozy historic building away from the Main Street area, but still close.

I was at Otto’s Place yesterday morning, and the lady at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming! We didn’t reserve a table, but she helped us get there within 5 minutes. The waiter was very helpful and super friendly. On top of all that, I had the best pancake I’ve ever had in my life! I told my husband I wouldn’t mind driving two hours just to enjoy that flavorful, buttery, and tasty pancake again. Of course highly recommended!
We love Otto’s! Great vegan option and big portions. We always visit when in Galena.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and we're seated upstairs. Building was clearly very old, but perfectly maintained. Great service, very friendly and knowledgeable server knew about Celiac disease, also new ingredients and seasoning as well as knew about preparation methods. Food was excellent , and portions were very large. I'd go back again next time we're in the Galena area.
