Applebee's Grill + Bar

Yesterday, 12/30/2025, we came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We ordered the chicken appetizer along with two burgers, and everything was delicious — flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. To top it all off, we were surprised with an amazing dessert that made the night feel extra special.
What truly stood out, though, was our server. I regret not getting his name, but he was a gentleman with dark hair and glasses who also worked behind the bar. He was genuinely kind, incredibly attentive, and made us feel so welcomed. His personality shined just as much as the food did, and he went out of his way to make sure my partner’s birthday dinner was memorable. Every request was met with warmth and a smile, and his service truly elevated the entire experience.
Thank you so much for making my partner’s birthday dinner so special. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and we left very happy. We will absolutely be coming back soon — and whoever reads this, please pass along our compliments to him. He truly made our night.

Food/drinks are ridiculously overpriced for the quality. When I was the only customer in the establishment, my drink was forgotten about until I asked for my tab. Applebee's has really gone down hill, it used to be a good place to eat now it's highway robbery for a simple lunch.

Galesburg Applebees is the Best, fast service, great selection. Bern to other Applebees not as efficient as the one in Galesburg

This was a clean and nice Applebee's. Typical decor. Our waitress was fantastic. The food was decent. I got the all you can eat and tried rickets but mine did not have much meat. My son's rib let's were much more meaty. I did do the battered shrimp and it was excellent. The coleslaw was not very good to me. My wife got the grilled salmon and said it was very good also.

Unfortunately our experience was not good. To start, the glasses and small plates were dirty. We couldn't drink out of the glasses because of the grime and could not use the small plates for the appetizer. The meal, particularly the steak was horrible. No flavor and full of gristle. I couldn't finish it and left most of it on the plate. The waitress was nice about it but no manager followed up and only got coupons for the next time we come back. Big disappointment and waste of money. We won't be returning.
