Applebee's Grill + Bar

I haven't been to an AppleBee's in a long time and after a long day of driving we decided to walk from our hotel room to catch a hearty meal. We splurged and got drinks to relax. The bartender was not on his game as we waited quite a while and when I ordered a second drink (which I shouldn't have) it took FOREVER and we were ready to go at this point, and it didn't taste quite the same as the first one. The Cajun salmon was really good!! The server seemed like it was the end of her shift and was kinda ready to go (it was a little late, but not that late). My husband noted his food and whiskey sour were ok, not great. The atmosphere was really the same AppleBee's you find nationwide, which I'm sure is standard.
I know inflation and all that, but it really seemed expensive to me for an average person's nice dinner establishment and what we got for over $100 ( 3 drinks and 2 meals)

First off, we've ate here before and the food was really good despite the kind of run down look of the place. But it's been awhile and the visit we had this weekend was bad. I'd like to point out that the employees were all very nice and did a good job so I have no complaints with them. I do, however, have a complaint about the chicken breast which had the consistency of what I imagine raw meat to be. It was cooked through but I couldn't choke down more than three bites. Thank goodness for the loaded mashed potatoes. Later, I googled it and found out it was probably "woody" chicken (like chewing on a tough, fibrous wood). This equals chickens that have rapid growth rates which causes a muscle abnormality. Which I believe also involves steroids.
The table also had a very old sticky spot on it, right in front of me, and I had to dislodge a long hair from it. AND in the midst of our dinner we heard a dog bark in the restaurant. On our way out I could clearly see a couple with a small dog in a carrier on the seat. Clearly not a service dog. I can't believe this was allowed. We will not go back.

Servers all of them do a great job and the food is really good!! Not to mention the much drinks for 5.99 mmmmmmmmmm so good!!

Food was good, service was excellent. My only gripe is when they start sweeping all around you when you're trying to eat. I understand it has to be done but while we're sitting there?? It went on the whole time we were eating our food.

Was actually there twice. 1st time fries were cold n had to ask for our drinks, 2nd time sandwich wasn't made correctly.

I've never had a bad meal here! Ever! Staff are always on it. The manager Mike is great! The staff are an extension of him.

highly appreciate the gluten free items on menú, well balanced ??? just look for the "GS" logo

I never go wrong in any AppleBees that I go to. People are always friendly, service is great and there is never a surprise with the food, Very good every time.

We ate here today. I ordered the salmon with broccoli. I got a mouth full of mud when I but into my broccoli! We won't be back!

I ordered two dozen Boneless Wings To Go they were hard as a rock inedible

The endless wings selection was incredible! Tender, flavor filled wings with delicious dipping sauce! The atmosphere was very lively and enjoyable, creating a dining experience not soon forgotten!
