Invited by friend for lunch here today. Excellent french dip , nice fresh roll. Potato soup spot on. Excellent service. Clean pleasant facility
One of our favorites. Always sit outside and watch golfers and listen to the music. The food is always supurp. I favor the Chickenstrips and fries. Keith loves the Rhuben.
$46 for a senior! Really? Only a two dollar discount! What a rip off! Most courses in quad cities are anywhere from $25 to $35 for senior with cart!! Probably won’t drive here again for the great deals!!!

They lie about there times. They say their driving range is open from 8am to 10pm on Thursday and Friday but when you ask to play at 8:40 pm they will not turn the lights on for a group of paying customers. They say they have a lighted trying driving range but they don’t and they won’t turn the lights on.
First time going to Sugar Maple Saturday 4/13/24. I must say, management needs to clean up their act. Unacceptable behavior from Kevin, the course manager. I will not be coming back. Well kept course, but due to that man-child of a manager I will not be returning. Absolutely shameful. Valley View is a little bit further drive but well worth the trip.
Course is great, good condition, and the maintenance crew guy who got us a small bucket while we waited for the clubhouse to open was a great guy!Unfortunately the group of 10 that we went out with last weekend got yelled at my Kevin, the “special guy who runs this place” as he said and I quote. He handled the situation very unprofessionally. He was cursing and yelling at us. We all went to take our carts back and leave, and we were just going to mind our business and not cause any more problems like upsetting Kevin even more. As we were trying to leave , Kevin walked right up to a member of our group being confrontational and then proceeded to get in a big shouting and cussing match with us.Would be a 5/5 star review if it weren’t for Kevin.
Won’t be returning to Sugar Maple unless Kevin Sellers is fired. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a golf course.
Will not be returning again. It’s a shame. Let it be known this is not the first issue we have had with the club house staff but the first one I am leaving a review about. 3 strikes and you’re out. We had a group of 12 guys scheduled for 3 tee times this morning. Club house didn’t open up until 845 for a 9am tee off. Once out playing we had a great time playing our hometown course. We let one group play through early on in the day. We continued to play and were caught again on the back 9. We had a discussion with this group and they said take your time we are not in a rush and nobody was behind them. We got to hole 18 to finish our round and the 2 groups in front of us (part of the group) came back to watch the last group tee off on 18. The course dictator, Kevin came out and instantly said what we were doing was unacceptable and said they had multiple complaints about us slowing play which was untrue. Instead of handling the situation in a professional manner Kevin met us all at the clubhouse to turn in our carts. After trying to explain that we weren’t holding anyone up the story changed to the course needed carts. If that was the case a simple “hey guys we need the carts” would have been more appropriate. I told Kevin I would not be returning again and he said “good” then he got into another’s guy face yelling profanity telling another paying customer to “do something then”I really won’t be returning to this course again. I would be open to talking to management above Kevin about the issue. It’s a shame a nicely kept 18 hole local course just pushed away 12 local golfers. Off to valley view and country view. This is not how people should be treated. Multiple people saw this all take place and told us after Kevin went inside that what was happening was not right. Sad day for ol sugar…
We were holding our golf league at Sugar Maple for our first tournament of the year, the last group was finishing up and the other groups decided to stay back and watch them finish, no big deal we were on the last hole. Until it was, the course manager Kevin came out and stated that it was completely unacceptable that we had the others groups watching us finish and we weren’t holding any groups up and there was only 4 people golfing, no extra golfers. We talked with the group behind and offered to let them play through and they said no it’s fine. Kevin approached us again before we left and got in several shouting matches and drove local business away, we weren’t causing a ruckus or disrupting play. I will not be back. This isn’t the first issue we have had with them, this was just the last strike. It’s very unfortunate. $50 to feel completely unaccepted. It’s a shame, I grew up here and have played lots of rounds and supported them even through the name change, this is not how a business should be ran. If I could give zero stars I would. Also, Kevin needs some customer service training. It didn’t have to be this way.

I'm being generous with a rate of 2 stars, it has been a long day and trying to find a place eat out this way my husband brought me one other time it was ok. We went to come tonight and right as went to enter the door and the closest behind us, not knowing the situation or if understand for such a rude welcome but I believe the manager was behind the counter and said" these freaking people keep coming in!" And turn his back and the women behind the counter with turn her face. Not a place I want to be or will be back. Not worth my money
Played 8 / 15 /23 Couldn't have been more impressed with any course , many changes for the good , friendly staff , course upkeep phenomenal , price in line with course aesthetics , will definitely play Sugar Maple again !!!
Went for dinner, as we had heard the patio was nice to dine in. The views were beautiful, and definitely the best part of the experience. The waitress was very lack luster. I ordered the nachos and they came out with cold pork. Not luke warm... Literally cold to the touch. My husband had to track down the waitress to tell her, and she brought out a bowl of plain pork (no bbq sauce) and said "well the cooks said it was hot when they plated it." No apology, and still put it on our bill. They also offer beer and wine but nothing is local.
Not the best food. Staff was lovely. Location is lovely.
great meal and service. we thought it was a very reasonable price aswell. highly recomend.
