This was an amazing experience. I’ve been to Germany and Austria and the food here is the closest to the food there. Very authentic and super nice people.

We stopped here for dinner on the way back from Central Illinois. My family loves this place and it was our first time actually having dinner since it changed to Horsch Radish. Food was pretty solid and of good value.
We had the schnitzel with veggies, and potato pancakes, Rahm’s schnitzel, with spaetzle, and sauerkraut. I would not recommend the potato pancakes, but the spaetzle and sauerkraut were tasty. Only downside was service was a little slow. Only one person working as bartender/server and one person delivering food.

Had dinner there last night. Service was extremely slow even though the place had maybe 5 customers in it when we arrived. The waitress couldn’t answer simple question about the beers available. I ordered a schnitzle which was flavorless, had to add a lot of salt. The red cabbage was very coarsely chopped and the spatzle was dried out and had very little flavor. I see other reviewers had good experiences so maybe Friday night is not the best night to go. This is a completely different restaurant from the days of the old Bayern Stube. Such a shame that it has gone so far downhill.

A German restaurant focused on local sourcing, similar to my experiences in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, and Heidelberg. Nice selection of schnitzels. Sprinkling Gorgonzola on the Jägersauce (Schnitzel Dietrich) and the horseradish sauce alongside the mustard sauce (Munich Schnitzel) are excellent touches. A must try place for German food, bier, and atmosphere.

I got the munich schnitzel with saurkraut and spätzle with a liter of Haufbrau. I'm half german and had these as a kid and they bring back so many good memories (except the beer of course). Amazing food, and beer. Amazing Bavarian style decor, and local ingredients. Service was impeccable.

Such a sweet, inviting, and wonderful place! The decor was adorable, the food was AMAZING and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Will definitely be going back to try the brunch menu out and will absolutely be going back for dinner! We loved that a good portion of the food was locally sourced too! Price point was fantastic(I had two specialty drinks and we split a dessert that tacked on a little extra to the bill, but they were delicious and completely worth it) and we left full and happy☺️
