Went in waited in a long line, had my sandwiches made, got to the register and my $100 bill wasn’t accepted that I brought. Legal tender and they wouldn’t accept it. They have no signs or warnings and just shut me down so I wait in line for no reason. Waste half my lunch break and can’t get food. To make matters worse the female employee at 1:20pm on September 19, 2024. After I said I guess I don’t want the sand which then since they wouldn’t take my money responds with then don’t come back. I said I’ll come back and she says she will not serve me. What is wrong with this generation of young people. How can you offer services with no sign and turn down legal tender? So aggravated and now hangry as well. Gillespie Subway has went to the garbage.

I like Subway but, the Gillespie, il location can never seem to get our orders correct. Staff acts like they are ticked off because you come in. Maybe that's why the sandwiches are messed up and sloppy.

This location is just fantastic. I'm never being served by a grouch! I love the friendly sandwich artists here, even had great convos with them. Everything on the menus is fresh and tasty.
My 12 inch was awesome, but very pricey. $18 for one is a little extreme, but it was good. Too bad my puppy found the other half when I got home... Was looking forward to that... Lol! Oh well.. meatballs and cheese never hurt anyone I don't think, not even for an adopted fur baby. ?

Mrs.Mary was VERY strange and down right disrespectful. She was trying to argue with me when I said I wanted extra sauce and I saw her pick her nose, not wash her hands and touch my food. Terrible worker, terrible service. Very unhygienic

Every time I go to this place, they skimp on the amount that goes on the sandwich. I got the new "champ" the #9 so heres how they did it they used only one small paper tray of rotisserie chicken so thined out accross the thing -every subway besides this one uses 2 paper trays of meat on the foot long- and then the 2 times the cheese it is supposed to come with is reduced down to just 1 layer of cheese. I'm curious do the workers do this on purpose, do they like giving you a sandwich that is mostly just bread "Here you go we put half the amount of stuff that goes on the sandwich, would you like half a cookie as well or half a large soda". So I'm done with this location.

Wanted to give a 0 star on this the workers did not listen to what we said we asked for extra olives on one sandwich and they put extra olives on every single sandwich we got when there was two sandwiches that was not to have any and then they switched bags that the sandwiches was to go in so we probably will not be going back there poor service and rude
